An implantable medical device for stimulating a heart, includes a stimulation electrode configured to stimulate a first cardiac region of the heart, and a detection unit configured to detect an intracardiac electrogram at a second cardiac region (ventricle) of the heart. In operation, the device: delivers a stimulation pulse to the heart; evaluates a time and at least one morphologic parameter of a responsive signal of an intracardiac electrogram, wherein the at least one morphologic parameter is chosen from: an absolute value of the signal amplitude, a width of the signal, a positive, negative and/or total area under at least a part of the signal, and a number of occurrences and/or time of occurrence of zero crossings of the signal; and identifies a dislocation of the stimulation electrode if the time of the signal is below a first threshold value and the morphologic parameter exceeds a further threshold value.

A programming device for programming an implantable medical device for stimulating a human or animal heart, wherein the following steps are performed: a) allowing to select one of at least two electrode lead configurations for stimulating a human or animal heart, wherein the at least two electrode lead configurations comprise a second electrode lead configuration in which at least one electrode lead is connected to an electrode lead port, the electrode lead port being configured to receive an electrode lead for stimulating a second cardiac region or detecting an electric signal at the second cardiac region, wherein the second cardiac region is a part of a ventricular conduction system of the heart, wherein the at least one electrode lead is intended to be implanted or is implanted in the second cardiac region; b) generating and releasing a notification signal if the second electrode lead configuration is selected.

Programming device for programming an implantable medical device for stimulating a human or animal heart

An implantable system detecting electrical signals of a human or animal heart includes a processor, a memory unit, a first detection unit for atrial activity, a second detection unit for right ventricular activity and a third detection unit for left ventricular activity. The system automatically performs steps at regular intervals including detecting an intrinsic right atrial activity using the first detection unit; detecting an intrinsic right ventricular activity using the second detection unit; determining a time between the intrinsic right atrial activity and the intrinsic right ventricular activity, and storing this time as atrioventricular conduction time. Additionally or alternatively the steps include detecting an intrinsic right ventricular activity using the second detection unit; detecting an intrinsic left ventricular activity using the third detection unit; and determining a time between the intrinsic right ventricular activity and the intrinsic left ventricular activity, and storing this time as interventricular conduction time.

Implantable system for detecting electrical signals of a human heart or an animal heart

An implantable medical device for stimulating a human or animal heart. In operation, the device performs the following steps: a) sensing an atrial electric signal a the first detection unit; b) sensing an electric signal at the His bundle with a second detection unit upon termination of a first time period starting upon sensing the atrial electric signal with the first detection unit and/or starting upon applying a stimulation pulse, wherein the first time period lies in a range of from 10 ms to 100 ms; c) classifying the electric signal sensed with the second detection unit as His bundle activity signal or as ventricular activity signal.

Implantable medical device for stimulating the His bundle of a human or animal heart employing an improved distinction between atrial and ventricular signals detected at the His bundle

An implantable medical device stimulates a human or animal heart. The medical device contains a processor, a memory unit, a His electrode having a first electrode pole configured to detect an electrical signal at a His bundle of a heart, and a further electrode having a further electrode pole configured to detect an electrical signal at a cardiac region of the same heart different from the His bundle. During operation of the device, performing the steps of: measuring electric signals at a His bundle of a heart with the first electrode pole; measuring electric signals at a cardiac region of the same heart different from the His bundle with the further electrode pole; and evaluating intracardiac electrogram signals and/or impedance signals measured between the first electrode pole and the further electrode pole, with the provision that this evaluating does not only contain a determination of an atrial-His bundle transition time.

An implantable medical device for stimulating a human/animal heart, comprising a housing, a processor, a memory unit, a stimulation unit configured to stimulate the His bundle, and a detection unit configured to detect an electrical signal at the His bundle. The device performs: a) stimulating the His bundle with a stimulation pulse delivered by the stimulation unit; b) measuring an electric signal at the His bundle with the detection unit upon termination of a first period of time starting upon delivering of the stimulation pulse, wherein the first period of time is from 35 ms to 500 ms; c) measuring an impedance of the same heart with the detection unit upon termination of a second period of time starting upon delivering of the stimulation pulse, wherein the second period of time is equal to or longer than the first period of time and is from 50 ms to 500 ms.

Implantable medical device for stimulating the His bundle of a human or animal heart employing an adapted impedance measurement

An implantable medical device for stimulating a human/animal heart having a stimulation unit which stimulates the His bundle and a detection unit which detects an electrical signal at the His bundle. The device performs: a) determining a first value of a parameter of a first measuring pulse measured between a first electrode pole and a housing; b) determining a second value of the same parameter of a second measuring pulse measured between the first electrode pole and a second electrode pole; c) comparing the first and second values; d) determining, based on the comparing step, whether the first or second measuring pulses enables a higher available level control range of the analog-to-digital converter; e) measuring an impedance in a unipolar manner between the first electrode pole and the housing or in a bipolar manner between the first electrode pole and the second electrode pole depending on the determining step.

Implantable medical device for stimulating a human or animal heart employing an automatic choice between different impedance measuring modes

A blow filter device for breathing masks and hoods, comprising a blower which is driven by a motor and at least one filter which is arranged upstream from the blower, in addition to an electronic control system for adjusting a predefined airflow volume. The invention is characterized in that the motor is an electronically commutated direct current motor () which is controlled with the aid of a pulse width modulation ratio as a control variable, wherein a calibrating curve is created and stored in the memory () of the electronic control system and is based on a plurality of different filter resistances and a respectively corresponding pulse-width modulation ratio (PWM) and the respective motor speed (n) for a specific volume of air. The direct current motor can be controlled in the hood mode according to the speed (n) measured in relation to the respective filter resistance after activation with the aid of the associated pulse-width modulation ratio read from the calibrating curve and can be controlled in the mask mode independently of the respective filter resistance with a respective specific constant pulse-width modulation ratio (PWM) for the associated mask type, wherein the electronic control system () is associated with an identifying means () which is used to recognize the associated head part and to adjust the operational mode concerned.
