A method operates a hearing system having a hearing device and modifies an input signal for the purpose of sound output to a user and, applies multiple algorithms with a respective potency, as a result of which a respective algorithm is applied with a present potency in a present situation. The hearing system recurrently receives a report from the user indicating that the user is dissatisfied with the sound output in the present situation. The hearing system has a database, containing multiple weights for each algorithm, to rate a change of the potency. If a report is received, each of the algorithms is rated using the weights to ascertain an individual-case relevance for each of the algorithms, to assess the effect of a change of the potency. Multiple individual-case relevances are combined to form a relevance value for each algorithm, the relevance values are compared with one another.

The provision of an individually adapted hearing aid for a patient is intended to be effected more quickly. A method is therefore provided by which, firstly, hearing loss data, in particular an audiogram, are generated by a person skilled in the art for example an ENT specialist, and the hearing loss data are transmitted to a manufacturer. Using a perceptive model based on the hearing loss data, the manufacturer selects a hearing aid and matches the hearing aid to the patient by means of the perceptive model. Finally, the manufacturer delivers the adapted hearing aid directly or indirectly to the patient. Due to the simplified workflow during the adaptation, the waiting times for the provision of the hearing aid are reduced for the patient.

The invention relates to a hearing aid device and a method of manufacturing the hearing aid device. The hearing aid device comprises a housing and a first conductive layer. The housing further comprises a first non-conductive layer and a second non-conductive layer. The first conductive layer is between the first non-conductive layer and the second non-conductive layer.

Hearing-aid wearers should be able to converse unimpeded even in noisy environments. Provided for this is a hearing system with a first hearing device, a second hearing device and a remote control for the operation of the first and/or second hearing device. The remote control is embodied as a base station to which the first and second hearing device is able to log on to establish a spontaneous communication network. This facilitates a wireless communication using a remote control as a relay station and without the influence of background noise.

The aim of the invention is to make using a hearing device and in particular a hearing aid more comfortable and more effective for the user. To this end the setting of a portable hearing device is to be checked. First the acoustic data of a sound from the environment of the hearing device is recorded and/or determined simultaneously with the setting of the hearing device with at least one setting value. The setting of the hearing device is evaluated against the chronologically matching, recorded acoustic data in the hearing device using at least one predeterminable criterion. If necessary, the hearing device outputs an appropriate message. By this means a hearing aid wearer can, for example, be alerted to contact an acoustician, if the settings he made on the hearing aid are not effective.

Directional hearing is improved given the binaural coverage for a hearing aid user with two hearing aid devices wearable at the ears. The respective signal transit times and/or signal amplitudes and/or amplifications of an electrical signal are respectively measured in a signal path between an input transducer and an output transducer and that data with respect to the measured signal transit times and/or signal amplitudes and/or gains is transmitted onto the respectively other hearing aid device. As a result, the signal transit times and the signal amplitudes of the electrical signals through the two hearing aid devices can be matched to one another. The hearing aid devices thus cause no phase or amplitude distortion, and the natural phase shift as well as the natural amplitude difference of a sound signal incident from a specific direction are thus preserved. The directional information is thus also preserved for the hearing aid user.
