A semiconductor illuminating device is disclosed. The device includes an LED configured for emitting blue primary radiation and an LED phosphor arranged and configured such that it emits secondary light that forms at least one component of the illumination light, wherein the LED phosphor comprises a red phosphor for emitting red light as a component of the secondary light and a green phosphor for emitting green light as a component of the secondary light, wherein the green light has a color point located above a first straight line having a slope mand a y-intercept nin a CIE standard chromaticity diagram, with the slope m=1.189 and the y-intercept n=0.226, and wherein the components of the illumination light are at such a ratio to one another that the illumination light has a color temperature of at most 5500 K.

Semiconductor illuminating device

Conversion LED emits primary radiation (peak wavelength 435 nm to 455 nm) and has a luminescent substance-containing layer positioned to intercept the primary radiation and convert it into secondary radiation. First and second luminescent substances are used. The first luminescent substance is a ABO:Ce garnet type emitting yellow green having cation A=75 to 100 mol. % Lu, remainder Y and a Ce content of 1.5 to 2.9 mol. %, where B=10 to 40 mol. % Ga, remainder Al. The second luminescent substance is of the MAlSiN:Eu calsine type which emits orange red, where M is Ca alone or at least 80% Ca and the remainder of M may be Sr, Ba, Mg, Li or Cu, in each case alone or in combination, wherein some of the Al up to 20%, can be replaced by B, and wherein N can be partially replaced by O, F, Cl, alone or in combination.

Conversion LED with high color rendition index

A conversion LED comprising a chip which emits primary radiation and a luminescent substance-containing layer which is on the chip or positioned so that it intercepts the primary radiation emitted from the chip and which converts at least some of the primary radiation of the chip into secondary radiation, wherein a first luminescent substance of the ABO:Ce garnet type which emits yellow green and a second luminescent substance of the MAlSiN:Eu calsine type which emits orange red is used, wherein the peak wavelength of the primary radiation lies in the 435 to 455 nm range, the first luminescent substance being a garnet having essentially the cation A=75 to 100% Lu, remainder Y and a Ce content of 1.5 to 2.9%, where B=10 to 40% Ga, remainder Al, while the second luminescent substance is of the basic MAlSiN:Eu type where M is Ca alone or at least 80%, in particular at least 90%, preferably at least 95% Ca and the remainder of M may be Sr, Ba, Mg, Li or Cu, in each case alone or in combination, wherein some of the Al up to 20%, preferably at most 5%, can be replaced by B, and wherein N can be partially replaced by O, F, Cl, alone or in combination.

A method is provided for producing a radiation-emitting semiconductor chip, in which a first wavelength-converting layer is applied over the radiation exit face of a semiconductor body. The application method is selected from the following group: sedimentation, electrophoresis. In addition, a second wavelength-converting layer is applied over the radiation exit face of the semiconductor body. The second wavelength-converting layer is either produced in a separate method step and then applied or the application method is sedimentation, electrophoresis or printing. Furthermore, a radiation-emitting semiconductor chip and a radiation-emitting component are provided.

Method for producing a semiconductor chip emitting radiation, semiconductor chip emitting radiation, and component emitting radiation

A semiconductor light source is provided, the semiconductor light source having a primary radiation source () which, when the semiconductor light source is operated, emits electromagnetic primary radiation () in a first wavelength range, and having a luminescence conversion module () into which primary radiation () emitted by the primary radiation source () is fed. The luminescence conversion module () contains a luminescence conversion element () which, by means of a luminescent material, absorbs primary radiation () from the first wavelength range and emits electromagnetic secondary radiation () in a second wavelength range. The luminescence conversion element () is arranged on a heat sink () at a distance from the primary radiation source (). It has a reflector surface () which reflects back into the luminescence conversion element () primary radiation () which passes through the luminescence conversion element () and is not absorbed thereby and/or reflects secondary radiation () in the direction of a light coupling-out surface () of the luminescence conversion element ().

Semiconductor light source having a primary radiation source and a luminescence conversion element

A luminous means () including at least one optoelectronic semiconductor device () which emits electromagnetic radiation during operation at at least one first wavelength (L) and at at least one second wavelength (L), wherein the first wavelength (L) and the second wavelength (L) differ from one another and are below 500 nm, in particular between 200 nm and 500 nm. Furthermore, the luminous means () includes at least one conversion means () which converts the first wavelength (L) at least partly into radiation having a different frequency. The radiation spectrum emitted by the luminous means () during operation is metameric with respect to a black body spectrum. Such a luminous means makes it possible to choose the first wavelength and the second wavelength in such a way that a high color rendering quality and a high efficiency of the luminous means can be realized simultaneously.
