An exemplary an access control device generally includes a keypad assembly, an antenna, and a controller. The keypad assembly includes a capacitive touch keypad matrix, and the antenna is substantially coplanar with the capacitive touch keypad matrix. The controller is connected with each of the keypad assembly and the antenna such that the controller is operable to receive access codes via each of the keypad assembly and the antenna.

An electronic lock system including an access control device configured to provide system instructions, an interface module electrically coupled to the access control device and configured to transmit RF signals in response to system instructions received from the access control device, and a plurality of wireless electronic door locks each configured to wirelessly communicate with the interface module. Each of the wireless electronic door locks includes a controller and a wireless receiver operatively connected to the controller, the wireless receiver including a first antenna defined as a circuit board trace and a second antenna, spaced from the first antenna and defined as a circuit board trace. The access control device further includes a credential detection circuit having a memory configured to store program instructions, an antenna, and a processor electrically coupled to the antenna and to the credential reader circuit, wherein the processor is configured to execute the stored program instructions to: transmit an interrogation signal, receive a reflected interrogation signal with the antenna, transmit an activation signal to the credential reader circuit in response to the received reflected interrogation signal wherein the reflected interrogation signal includes I and Q values, receive a false detection signal from the credential reader circuit, and adjust at least one of the I and Q threshold values of the reflected interrogation signal.

An access control device including a credential reader circuit structured to enter a standby mode, awaken from the standby mode, and receive data from a nearby credential, and a credential detection circuit. The credential detection circuit includes a memory configured to store program instructions, an antenna circuit, and a processor electrically coupled to the antenna circuit and to the credential reader circuit, wherein the processor configured to execute the stored program instructions to: transmit an energizing signal; receive a modulated energizing signal with the antenna circuit; transmit an activation signal to the credential reader circuit in response to the received modulated energizing signal, wherein the received modulated energizing signal includes I and Q values; receive a false detection signal from the credential reader circuit; and adjust an impedance of the antenna circuit.

In one form the lock can be made from an assembly of parts that have locating features that require one way installation/assembly. Audio processing systems, such as full duplex digital telephone systems, are provided in which analog automatic level control (ALC) circuitry is employed to automatically control and stabilize the microphone output audio signal levels to a constant level for optimal digital signal processing. For example, an audio communication device () includes a microphone () to generate an audio signal, an analog automatic level control (ALC) circuit (), coupled to an output of the microphone (), to control a level of the audio signal output from the microphone () and output a level-controlled audio signal, and a DSP (digital signal processing) circuit () to process the level-controlled audio signal output from the ALC circuit (). The ALC () allows audio signals to be captured by the microphone () with wide dynamic range, while stabilizing the microphone output level within a reduced dynamic range compatible with the limited dynamic range of the DSP circuitry () for enhanced performance.
