Mammalian body implantable fluid flow influencing device, comprising a modular impeller having: An impeller hub module dimensioned and shaped to be deliverable to a delivery site within a conduit of a conduit system of the mammalian body via a catheter. An impeller vane module having at least a portion of an impeller vane; having, with respect to the impeller hub module, an assembled configuration in which the impeller vane module mates with the impeller hub module, and an unassembled configuration, in which the impeller vane module is unmated with the impeller hub module and being dimensioned and shaped to be deliverable to the delivery site via the catheter when in the unassembled configuration. The modular impeller being formed when the impeller vane module is retained in its assembled configuration, and dimensioned and shaped to be operable within at least one conduit of the conduit system. Method of implantation disclosed.

An implantable medical device includes a functional unit, an introducer unit for introducing and/or navigating the functional unit in a lumen of body conduit(s) of a subject, and an elongated operable element connectable to a controller for operating the functional unit though the elongated operable element in a lumen of body conduit(s) of the subject. The functional unit, introducer unit, and elongated operable element may be in a slidable relationship for assembling and unassembling the implantable medical device in vivo. The implantable medical device is implantable, explantable, and operable in a lumen of body conduit(s) of a subject according to related methods.

A docking unit for use in a modular mammalian body implantable device. The docketing unit comprising an elongated body. The body has: a longitudinal axis, at least one receiving surface extending parallel to the longitudinal axis, a distal end and a proximal end, and at least one proximal guide hole. Each receiving surface has at least one proximal guide hole associated therewith. The docking unit is dimensioned and shaped to be deliverable to an implantation site within a conduit of a conduit system of the mammalian body via a catheter.

Modular mammalian body implantable fluid flow influencing device and related methods

Transcatheterly implantable mammalian body conduit intralumenal device and lumen wall anchor assembly. Anchor includes: wire network, connector positioning wires having a secured and a released position, and a connector disposed at end of each wire. Anchor has: a compact-secured-configuration, an expanded-secured-configuration, an expanded-released-configuration. When the anchor is in the expanded-secured-configuration, the wire network exerts a force on conduit lumen wall and the connector positioning wires are the in secured position. When the anchor is in the expanded-released-configuration, the connector positioning wires are in the released position, and do not obstruct fluid flow axially through conduit. Device includes an interconnector that allows for the releasable interconnector of the connectors thereto. Device and anchor assembly can be explanted from the conduit. Or, device can be released from the anchor at the implantation site and only the device explanted with the anchor remaining within the conduit.

Modular mammalian body implantable fluid flow influencing device, comprising: docking unit having receiving surface, distal and proximal ends, proximal guide hole. Functional unit having docking surface shaped to mate with receiving surface, distal and proximal ends. Control wire extends from proximal end of functional unit then goes through guide hold then extends proximally away from docking unit. Functional and docking units are dimensioned and shaped to be deliverable to an implantation site via catheter. Functional unit has docked configuration in which docking surface mates with receiving surface of docking unit and undocked configuration in which docking surface is unmated with and spaced apart from receiving surface of docking unit. Functional unit moveable at implantation site between undocked and docked configurations via movement of control wire. Functional unit moveable into docked configuration by pulling control wire, and moveable from into undocked configuration by pushing control wire. Multiple functional units also disclosed.
