The invention relates to enantiomer (&#x2212;) of tentoprazole. The inventive enantiomer (&#x2212;) of tenatoprazole, or (&#x2212;)-5-methoxy-2-[[(4-methoxy-3,5-dimethyl-2-pyridyl)methyl]sulfinyl]imidazol[4,5-b]pyridine exhibits improved pharmacokinetic properties which make it possible to use a once a day posology of a drug for relevant indications. The enantiomer (&#x2212;) of tentoprazole can be used for treating digestive pathologies.

The invention concerns novel flavone and isoflavone derivatives of formulae (Ia) and (Ib) wherein: X represents a group of formula &#x2014;COOR, or &#x2014;PO(OR); R represents a hydrogen atom or an alkaline or alkaline-earth metal, or a lower alkyl group; Rrepresents a hydroxy group, a lower alkoxy group or an acyloxy group; Rand R, identical or different, represent a hydrogen or halogen atom, or a trifluoromethyl group, a trichloromethyl group, a hydroxy group, an alkoxy group or an acyloxy group comprising 1 to 5 carbon atoms, or Rand Rcan combine to form an alkylene dioxy group.
