A device for fastening printing forms (10) on printing form cylinders (1) of rotary printing presses. The printing forms (10) extend into a clamping channel (3) with their leading edge (12) and their trailing edge (13) and are tensioned therein, via clamping elements, on the lateral surface (2) of the printing form cylinder (1) in a circumferential direction of the printing form cylinder (1) and retained in the clamping channel (3). The clamping elements are accommodated on a tensioning shaft (6) which is rotatably inserted in a bore of the printing form cylinder (1). The clamping elements are designed as spring elements (16, 27) in Y-shape (21), including a first and a second resilient section (17, 19).

A device for automatically catching a torn material web running through a rotary printing machine includes a pair of clamping rollers, respectively, disposed beneath and above the material web, the rollers being rotatingly entrainable and being able to clamp the web when a web tear is detected, at least one of the clamping rollers having variable outer main dimensions, and an actuator connected to the at least one clamping roller for causing the outer main dimensions thereof to increase upon detection of a web tear, so as to clamp the torn material web between the clamping rollers.

In a rotary printing press, a printing unit cylinder having a printing form with bent ends fastened thereon so as to form a printing form cylinder with a printing form mounted thereon, the bent ends of the printing form being provided with fastening tabs extendable into the interior of lock-up gap sections formed in the printing form cylinder, and webs respectively alternatingly disposed opposite one another being formed on a leading edge and on a trailing edge of the printing form, between the fastening tabs of the printing form, includes a plurality of pockets formed on a circumferential surface of the printing form cylinder, wherein the fastening tabs of the printing form engage, the webs provided between the fastening tabs and formed on the printing-form leading edge and the printing-form trailing edge terminating on generating lines of the printing form cylinder which differ from one another.

Device for connecting retaining elements and a crosspiece on a printing-form cylinder of a rotary printing press for fixing a flexible printing form to the circumference of the printing-form cylinder, a front edge of the flexible printing form being able to straddle a front edge of a gap formed in the cylinder, and a rear edge of the flexible printing form being fixable by at least one resilient retaining element mountable actuatably on the crosspiece and having a hook-shaped projection at an end thereof directed towards the circumferential surface of the printing form, includes a plurality of the retaining elements mountable alongside one another, and stop elements for form-lockingly locking the retaining elements on the crosspiece.
