An electric terminal connector comprises a generally tubular metal part adapted to fit over the previously bared end of the conductive core of an insulated electric conductor. An insulative sleeve has a front portion adapted to be engaged with this metal part and a rear portion larger than the front portion adapted to fit over the corresponding end of the insulation of the electric conductor. The inner end of the metal part is initially straight and is deformed during manufacture into a tulip-shape having on its end surface an outside edge adapted to form an anchor edge by means of which it is anchored to the insulative part. The insulative part has a transverse shoulder with an inside diameter which is less than that of the inside edge of the end surface of the inner end of the metal part and the inner end of the metal part is aligned with the transverse shoulder.

Electric terminal connector

An electric terminal connector comprises a generally tubular metal part adapted to fit over the previously bared end of the conductive core of an insulated electric conductor. An insulative sleeve has a front portion adapted to be engaged with this metal part and a rear portion larger than the front portion adapted to fit over the corresponding end of the insulation of the electric conductor. The insulative sleeve comprises a transverse shoulder on its inside. The rear portion of the metal part is straight and its end is adapted to bear on this transverse shoulder. There is at least locally between the metal part and the insulative sleeve a film of adhesive which fastens them together. In line with at least the transverse shoulder the internal surface of the insulative sleeve has a diameter at most equal to that of the inside surface of the metal part.

A magazine-type wiring accessory crimping tool comprises two handles articulated to each other which are squeezed together to form at least one crimping deformation in a wiring accessory disposed between them. One of the handles forms a magazine receiving a plurality of parallel wiring accessories to be dispensed and crimped. A dispenser is removably received in this handle and accommodates the plurality of wiring accessories. The other handle incorporates a crimping plate and the first mentioned handle includes a crosspiece aligned with this crimping plate adapted to withstand the crimping force applied by the crimping plate to a wiring accessory.

Magazine-type wiring accessory crimping tool

A dispenser for wiring accessories has an elongate plate-like configuration and comprises a baseplate from which projects a bar extending transversely across the baseplate to a width less than the width of the baseplate. A longitudinal groove in the bar parallel to the baseplate runs the full length of the bar. A lip faces the longitudinal edge of the bar into which the groove opens. The lip is parallel to and spaced from this longitudinal edge. The baseplate is extended at one end of the bar. A transverse cradle on this extension receives a wiring accessory and a longitudinal finger projects cantilever-fashion from the bar over the cradle and is spaced from the cradle to retain a wiring accessory in the cradle.

Wiring accessory dispenser

A terminal block includes a housing adapted to be fixed to a support rail which has two flanges each with a right-angle lip along its free edge. Inside the housing are a metal bearing member which is fixed relative to the housing and a metal clamping member which is movable relative to the bearing member. Both these members have two branches. A screw passes through a bore in the bearing member. Hook faces on respective branches of the bearing member face towards the head of the screw and bearing faces on respective branches of the clamping member face away from the head of the screw. When the terminal block is mounted on a support rail at least one of the hook faces and at least one of the bearing faces bear on the rail. The clamping member is U-shaped, having a central part on the side of the bearing member opposite the head of the screw and side flanges embracing the bearing member. This central part is attached to the screw but can rotate relative to the screw.

Rail-mounted terminal block

A tool for tightening and cutting clamps comprises two handles pivoted to each other of which one is a tightening handle and has at its end a grasping member adapted to grasp the clamp to be cut. The other handle is a cutting handle and has at its end a movable cutter. Elastic element oppose movement of the grasping and cutting handles towards each other. An actuator to apply thrust to the cutter and elastic return element opposes movement of the cutter. The actuator comprises the pivot by which the handles are pivoted to each other and a curved slot in the cutting handle by which the cutting handle is fastened to the pivot and in which the pivot is movable parallel to itself, transversely to the pivot axis.
