A luminous glazing unit includes at least two glazing elements, for example at least two transparent glass sheets; optionally at least one lamination interlayer between the two glazing elements; at least one waveguide element, located on one face of the lamination interlayer and/or between the two glazing elements, the waveguide element having a refractive index higher than the refractive index of the adjacent interlayer and/or glazing elements; at least one light source, for example positioned at the edge of the glazing unit in order to illuminate the waveguide element via the edge face of the latter; and at least one light extraction device, formed by at least one fibrous structure, this structure being in the form of at least one textile, this structure or this extraction device being placed in the core of the waveguide element.

A method for manufacturing a structure having a textured surface, including a substrate made of mineral glass having a given texture, for an organic-light-emitting-diode device, the method including supplying a rough substrate, having a roughness defined by a roughness parameter Ra ranging from 1 to 5 &#x3bc;m over an analysis length of 15 mm and with a Gaussian filter having a cut-off frequency of 0.8 mm; and depositing a liquid-phase silica smoothing film on the substrate, the film being configured to smooth the roughness sufficiently and to form the textured surface of the structure.

A method for fabricating a textured single crystal including depositing pads made of metal on a surface of a single crystal. A protective layer is deposited on the pads and on the single crystal between the pads; and etching the surface with a first compound that etches the metal more rapidly than the protective layer is carried out. Processing continues with etching the surface with a second compound that etches the single crystal more rapidly than the protective layer; and etching the surface with a third compound that etches the protective layer more rapidly than the single crystal. The textured substrate may be used for the epitaxial growth of GaN, AlN or III-N compounds (i.e. a nitride of a metal the positive ion of which carries a +3 positive charge) in the context of the fabrication of LEDs, electronic components or solar cells.
