A vehicle light comprising a container body and a lenticular body. The light comprises a substrate that supports a main light source that is embedded in a cover layer suitable to allow the diffusion inside it of the main light beam. The cover layer is disposed on the side opposite to the lenticular body with respect to the substrate. The substrate comprises at least one transparent portion to the light beam suitable to transmit the main light beam towards the lenticular body and, through this, to the outside of the vehicle light, wherein the substrate comprises at least one opaque portion to the main light beam, adjacent to said transparent portion in order to allow the passage of the main light beam exclusively at said transparent portion. The transparent portion defines a main light pattern of the vehicle light.

Vehicle light and related manufacturing method

The present invention relates to a lighting device for vehicles including at least one diffuser body suitable for receiving light emitted by a light source so as to diffuse the light externally to the body. The diffuser body includes a solid matrix of transparent polymer material which incorporates a plurality of bubbles or cavities, wherein the solid matrix performs the transmission of light within the body by subsequent reflections and wherein the bubbles perform the diffusion of light and the extraction thereof outside the body by subsequent refractions.

Lighting device for vehicles and production method thereof

An automotive light is provided that includes a light-guide bar made of photoconductive-material, which is at least partially positioned substantially grazing a corresponding transparent or semitransparent portion of the front lenticular half-shell of the light, and a second light source which is structured so as to emit light when electricity powered, and is arranged inside the rear body, close to one end of the light-guide bar, so as to direct the light produced inside the body of said light-guide bar. The light-guide bar is provided with a longitudinal light-extractor band which extends along the lateral side of the bar, and a multitude of deflector prisms which have an approximately triangle-shaped cross-section and are conveniently arranged along the longitudinal light-extractor band. One or more deflector prisms are shaped so that the active deflector surface has a bulging/arched profile substantially over the whole width of the longitudinal band.

Automotive light

An automotive light is provided having a substantially tub-shaped rear casing designed to fit to the vehicle body and a front lenticular half-shell which closes the opening of the rear casing and has at least one portion of transparent or semi-transparent material. The front lenticular half-shell includes a rear portion substantially aligned with the rear of the vehicle body, and a lateral portion substantially aligned with the side of the vehicle body. The automotive light also includes a strip light source designed to emit light when powered electrically and a light guide plate of photoconductive material shaped to substantially match the profile of the strip light source and housed inside the rear casing in a position substantially perpendicular to the rear portion of the front lenticular half-shell. A first side of the plate conducts light from the strip light source into the body of the light guide plate, and a second side of the plate directs light propagating in the light guide plate onto the lenticular half-shell. A transverse light-extracting band is provided to locally extract light onto a lateral portion of the front lenticular half-shell.

Automotive rear light

An automotive light including a rear shell which is substantially tub-shaped and is structured so as to be fixed onto the vehicle body; a front lenticular half-shell which is provided with at least one portion made of transparent or semitransparent material, and is arranged to close the mouth of the rear shell; and at least a first main light source which is structured so as to emit light when electricity powered, and is placed within the rear shell in such a position as to backlight a corresponding transparent or semitransparent portion of the front lenticular half-shell; the automotive light further including at least one light-guiding section-bar made of light-conducting material, which is placed on the bottom of a corresponding slot or groove specifically obtained within the rear shell; and at least one auxiliary light source which is structured so as to emit light when electricity powered, and is placed within the rear shell so as to direct the emitted light directly into the body of the light-guiding section-bar; the light-guiding section-bar made of light-conducting material being provided with a cross section substantially circular or elliptic in shape, and with a longitudinal flat bevel facing the bottom of the slot or groove and structured so as to cause the light travelling in the light-guiding section-bar to exit towards the transparent or semitransparent portion of the lenticular half-shell above the light-guiding section-bar.

Light for motor vehicles and the like provided with a lighting device comprising a pair of power supply lines flowed through by a primary supplying current, two or more lighting branches each comprising one or more light sources adapted for being flowed through by a secondary supplying current; and an electronic control circuit configured to determine the secondary current flowing through each lighting branch; limit the primary supplying current to a predetermined minimum value when the secondary current flowing through at least one of said lighting branches is lesser than a predetermined threshold current; control the simultaneous transition of the light sources from a pre-lighting state to a complete-lighting state, when each of the secondary currents flowing through the lighting branches is greater than or equal to the predetermined current threshold.

A method for injection molding of plastic-material lenticular bodies for lights; of motor vehicles and similar, the method comprising the steps of coupling a punch half-mold with a first matrix half-mold so as to define, on the surface of the punch half-mold, a first closed cavity that copies in reverse the shape of the first plastic-material sheet; filling said first cavity with a first plastic polymer in a liquid state, injecting the first plastic polymer in the first cavity from an injection point located at said first segment of the peripheral edge of the first plastic-material sheet; and finally separating, after the first plastic polymer has solidified to form the first plastic-material sheet, the punch half-mold from the first; matrix half-mold maintaining the first plastic-material sheet still on the surface of the punch half-mold.

The invention relates to a printed circuit board having an insulating support layer and a layer of conductive material applied thereto. In order to increase the flexibility of the printed circuit board, it is proposed that material from the support layer have been removed at at least one point on the printed circuit board on a side of the support layer which is opposite the layer of conductive material in order to form a straight groove which extends from one side of the printed circuit board to another side of the printed circuit board, so that the printed circuit board can be bent along the groove, wherein the material of the support layer which has remained in the region of the groove and/or the layer of conductive material in the region of the groove form(s) a bending edge.

The invention relates to a lighting device for a motor vehicle. Said lighting device comprises a gas discharge lamp () for emitting light, a starting device for providing a starting voltage for starting the gas discharge lamp () and a control device for providing an input voltage for the starting device and an operating voltage for operation of the gas discharge lamp (). The control device is an integral part of the starting device. In order to come to grips with the problems associated with space and temperature with such lighting devices, the invention proposes that the combined starting and control device () has a plug element () for connecting a vehicle power supply system voltage (), the plug element () being in the form of a printed circuit board plug, which is formed by conductor tracks () guided at an edge of a printed circuit board () of the starting and control device ().
