The present disclosure relates to a method of molding a motor vehicle part, the motor vehicle part being made from thermosetting plastic material and including at least one metal insert having a shape allowing it to extend substantially through the entire thickness of the motor vehicle part, the method being characterized in that it includes the following steps placing the metal insert and the thermosetting plastic material in a mold, and molding the motor vehicle part comprising the overmolded metal insert, the metal insert being deformed at least at one mechanical weakening zone by closing the mold for molding the motor vehicle part.

A motor vehicle opening panel including an inner panel, preferably made of plastic material, with an upper part in which a first opening is made to accommodate a rear window, and an outer skin, at least partially made of plastic material, attached to the inner panel, including an inner surface opposite an outer surface of the inner panel. The opening panel further includes a support plate for an equipment item covered by the outer skin, the inner surface of the outer skin being attached directly to the support plate in a sealed manner. The plate is arranged inside an inner volume delimited by the outer surface of the inner panel and by the inner surface of the outer skin. The present invention relates to an assembly comprising a tailgate box and at least one link designed to be fitted on the box. The box is designed to receive a part that is fastened to the box by adhesive, said box having for this purpose an adhesive track, the box also including at least one lateral upright comprising a section member of open cross-section with the opening therein interrupting the adhesive track. The link comprises an additional segment of adhesive track, and the link and the upright being shaped so that the link can be fitted on the upright in such a manner that it closes the cross-section of the section member and causes the additional segment to span the interruption in the adhesive track.
