A manufacturing method for a trim element, which includes the following steps: supplying a mold in an open configuration which has a first mold part and a second mold part; positioning a first pre-formed decoration against the first mold part; positioning a wedge in contact with an edge of the first decoration; positioning a second flexible décor; closing the mold in a closed configuration, where the second decoration sits between the two mold parts; and back-injecting a substrate into the molding cavity, where the second decoration is pushed by the substrate against the first decoration. Also provided is an associated manufacturing device.

Method of manufacturing a trim element with double decoration

A cover door that includes a frame having a wall and an upper aperture extending at the end of the wall, and a lid covering at least one portion of the upper aperture and movable relatively to the frame so as to clear the upper aperture. The lid is attached to the wall through a hinge-forming area. The hinge-forming area has at least one central hinge connecting a central portion of the lid to the frame, and at least one side hinge connecting a side portion of the lid to the frame. The side hinge has a greater length than the length of the central hinge.

Airbag cover door having a variable length hinge

A safety device positioned between an interior trim element of a vehicle and an airbag, comprising:&#x2014;a chute channel designed to accommodate the airbag, the chute channel delimiting an opening for deployment of the airbag;&#x2014;a flap at least partially covering the opening when the airbag is in the uninflated state;&#x2014;a hinge connection connecting the flap to the chute channel; and&#x2014;a deflector connected to the chute channel and intended to be positioned facing the hinge connection, the chute channel, the flap, the hinge connection and the deflector are formed as one piece with one another.
