The present invention relates to a novel polyamide alloy composition that is useful for forming objects that may be used for the storage and transport of fluids. The polyamide alloy is a blend of at least one polyamide and at least one modified polyolefin having both medium to hard and soft domains. The polyamide forms the continuous phase of the alloy. The alloy may also contain, and preferably does contain, a thermal and light stabilization compound, at least one unmodified polyolefin, and at least one plasticizer. The polyamide alloy composition is useful in forming tanks, hoses and tubes used in the transport of liquid or gaseous fluids, including fluids under pressure.

Alloy composition useful for fluid transport objects

The present invention relates to a symmetrical multi-layer tube based on polyamide and ethyl vinyl alcohol (EVOH) or polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) for transferring fluids. As examples of tubes for transferring fluids, mention may be made of fuel (gasoline, diesel fuel) pipes, in particular for carrying fuel from the tank to the engine of motor vehicles. Other examples of fluid transfer include, but are not limited to, the fluids used in fuel cells, COsystems for cooling, hydraulic systems, cooling circuits and air-conditioning circuits, and medium-pressure power transfer.

Fluid transfer multi-layer tube based on a polyamide and an ethyl vinyl alcohol or polyvinyl alcohol

The present invention concerns multi-layer structures comprising at least a layer of a thermoplastic compound containing nanofillers and at least a layer of rubber. These structures can be converted to bottles, reservoirs, containers, pipes, hoses and vessels of all sorts. The structures of the invention are of interest for the cryogenic fluids used in air conditioning, such as for example HFAs and HFCs.
