Compositions and methods intended to be administered enterally or parenterally for treating sepsis. The composition containing, in a biologically and nutritionally acceptable medium, at least free cysteine or cysteine in the form of a precursor, prodrug, protein or peptide hydrolysate, in a proportion of pharmacologically active cysteine greater than the proportion of cysteine present in a nutritional composition corresponding to the requirements of a healthy man, the proportion of cysteine being determined with respect to all the amino acids present in the composition.

2,3-Dihydro-imidazo[1,2-b]pyridazine derivatives of the formula: ##STR1## in which R.sub.1 represents a phenyl, halogenophenyl, trifluoromethylphenyl, C(.sub.1-4)-alkylphenyl, (C.sub.1-4)-alkoxyphenyl, hydroxyphenyl, nitrophenyl, aminophenyl, (C.sub.1-4)-alkylaminophenyl, di-(C.sub.1-4)-alkylaminophenyl, acetamidophenyl, thienyl, pyridyl, furyl or nitrofuryl radical, R.sub.2 represents a hydrogen atom or a (C.sub.1-4)-alkyl radical, and R.sub.3 represents a hydrogen atom or a (C.sub.1-4)-alkyl, phenyl, halogenophenyl, trifluoromethylphenyl, (C.sub.1-4)-alkylphenyl, (C.sub.1-4)-alkoxyphenyl, hydroxyphenyl, nitrophenyl, aminophenyl, (C.sub.1-4)-alkylaminophenyl, di-(C.sub.1-4)-alkylaminophenyl or acetamidophenyl radical, and its addition salts with pharmaceutically acceptable acids are useful in therapy as antidepressants.
