A shortcut system () for controlling at least one vehicle system (), the shortcut system comprising: an input arranged to receive configuration signals () generated in response to a user operating a configuration device () independent of the vehicle (), the configuration signals specifying an action to be carried out by a vehicle system; a memory module () arranged to store the action specified in a received configuration signal; a processor () arranged, upon a user-selected trigger condition being met, to generate a control signal () for controlling the vehicle system in accordance with the stored specified action; and an output arranged to output the control signal. Also a configuration device () independent of a vehicle () that is arranged to configure a shortcut system () for controlling at least one vehicle system () of the vehicle, and a method of controlling at least one vehicle system () of a vehicle ().

Control of vehicle systems

Embodiments of the present invention provide a display method for use in a vehicle, comprising obtaining information associated with a vehicle or external image data of a region proximal to the vehicle, and displaying, on a display device worn by an occupant of the vehicle, one or more of a graphical representation of at least one component of the vehicle having one or more characteristics based on the information associated with the vehicle, or a representation of the external image data, wherein the one or more displayed representation is arranged to overlie a portion of the vehicle to be indicative of a portion of the vehicle being at least partly transparent.

Apparatus and method for displaying information

A computing device having a display portion for displaying information and a user input portion for receiving an input from a user. The device is operable to display a first set of user-selectable function elements in a first format and is responsive to an input from a user corresponding to a user-selected portion of the display portion to display a second set of function elements that include one or more function elements of the first set of user-selectable function elements that are associated with the selected portion of the display portion in a second format different from the first format.
