The invention relates to a device and to a method for continuously measuring the hydrogen sulfide concentration of an off-gas by means of a detachable device suitable for being temporarily connected to equipment producing the off-gas. The method comprises a step of measuring the absorption of electromagnetic radiation by the off-gas. The device and method method can be used in particular to measure the hydrogen sulfide concentration in an off-gas produced during a step of sulfiding a hydroprocessing catalyst.

Hydroprocessing catalyst, preparation method thereof and use of same

The present invention relates to a sulphiding agent for a hydrotreating catalyst which makes possible faster sulphiding of the catalyst but which also makes possible to very significantly limit solid deposits, in particular of sulphur. The sulphiding agent according to the invention is essentially composed of diethyl disulphide (DEDS) or dipropyl disulphide(s) (DPDS) or dibutyl disulphide(s) (DBDS) and can be employed in 'in situ' and 'ex situ' presulphidation processes.

Hydrotreating catalyst sulphiding agent and its use for in situ and ex situ presulphidation

The invention relates to a hydrocarbon hydroprocessing catalyst comprising a support based on at least one refractory oxide, at least one metal from group VIII and at least one metal from group VIB. The present invention concerns an additive for reducing the formation of coke and/or carbon monoxide in thermal hydrocarbon cracking units and/or of other organic compounds in heat exchangers. The invention relates to a catalyst for hydroconversion of hydrocarbons, comprising a support made from at least one refractory oxide, at least one group VIII metal and at least one group VIB metal, characterized in further comprising at least one organic compound with at least two thiol functions separated by at least one oxygenated group of formula (I): HS&#x2014;CxHyOz&#x2014;SH (I), where x=1 to 20, preferably 2 to 9 and for example x=6, y=2 to 60, preferably 4 to 12 and z=1 to 10, preferably 1 to 6. The invention further relates to a method for preparation, a method for activation of said catalyst and use of the catalyst for the hydrotreatment and/or hydrocracking of hydrocarbons.

The invention relates to a combination of compounds and a process using such combination useful for reducing or preventing coke formation in thermal cracking furnaces such as ethylene steam crackers. Process for the purification of virtually anhydrous organic liquids

To purify a dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), this DMSO is placed in contact with an ion exchange resin of sulfonic type in --SO.sub.3 NH.sub.4 form, and the DMSO is then separated from the resin. The DMSO thus obtained has an iron cation content lower than 1 ppb and a sodium cation content lower than 2 ppb.
