A system, device and method for automatically and remotely acquiring sensor data from a wearable patch mounted on a patient. An example device implemented as a wearable patch includes a sensor assembly comprising a plurality of sensors configured to detect a corresponding plurality of sensory modalities and generate electrical signals representing the sensory modalities. A signal converter receives the electrical signals from the plurality of sensors and converts the signals to sensor data signals comprising a data representation of at least one of the electrical signals. A communications interface communicates the sensor data signals to a sensor data processing system.

Wearable device with multimodal diagnostics

Systems and methods for monitoring blood flow metrics using a patch of a flexible substrate configured to attach to an area of skin over a blood vessel. The patch includes a plurality of light sources arranged on the substrate to form a matrix and a row of photodetectors disposed on the substrate substantially in parallel with the rows of LEDs. The patch includes an optical signal interface configured to drive each light source and to input an intensity signal at one of the photodetectors. The intensity signals are used to determine AC and DC components corresponding to each optical path. AC to DC component ratios are calculated for each optical path and used to determine ratio-of-ratio values. At least a subset of the ratio-of-ratio values are used to determine a biological metric or a cross-sectional area of the blood vessel.

Systems and methods for measuring biological metrics and blood vessel geometry using a multiple optical path photoplethysmography device

Systems and methods to non-invasively measure sub-cutaneous processes in a patient are disclosed. Examples of systems may optically detect biological fluid properties. The optical detection techniques described herein may be incorporated into a wearable monitoring system. Examples of wearable monitoring systems may simultaneously measure a plurality of sensory modalities. Systems of the present disclosure may be mounted on the skin of a patient.

Disclosed herein are methods and systems for adjusting the power level of an external reader of an electronic device. The external reader transmits power to the electronic device with a radio frequency electromagnetic signal. The electronic device may rectify the radio frequency electromagnetic signal and create a rectified voltage. The rectified voltage may be positively correlated to the power level transmitted by the external device. The rectified power can be used to power a component of the electronic device, such as a component configured to measure either a voltage or power associated with the rectified voltage. The electronic device may communicate the measured voltage or power back to the external reader. Based on the communicated voltage or power, the external reader may adjust its power level of the transmitted power.

Methods for adjusting the power of an external reader

Methods and systems described herein relate to broadcasting an advertisement event on a wireless channel. An example method includes generating, based on data, a data signal including one or more data packets, where each of the one or more data packets is a non-connectable and non-scannable data packet; generating an RF signal using an oscillator circuit; directly modulating the RF signal, based on the data signal, to generate a modulated RF signal; amplifying the modulated RF signal; broadcasting the amplified modulated RF signal on the wireless channel, where the amplified modulated RF signal is associated with the advertisement event.

In some embodiments of the present disclosure, the wearable device or the reader is configured to receive a level of radiant energy, detect a change in the received level of radiant energy, determine that the detected change in the received level of radiant energy is indicative of a predetermined pattern of received radiant energy, and responsively operate (or cause to be operated via the external reader) one or more external devices.

The present disclosure provides methods and apparatuses for providing a visible feedback based on an alignment or a link quality between an external reader and a tag. The external reader transmits power to the tag with a radio frequency electromagnetic signal. The tag may rectify the radio frequency electromagnetic signal and create a rectified voltage. This rectified voltage may be used to power various components of the tag. Once it receives power from the reader, the tag may communicate information back to the external reader. The information communicated back to the reader is communicated by modulating an antenna impedance of the tag. By modulating the impedance, the tag will backscatter radiation transmitted by the reader. The reader is able to create a visual output based on determining the alignment or link quality from the reader to the tag based on the backscatter radiation it receives from the tag.
