Methods and systems for displaying text using RSVP

The disclosure describes systems and methods related to moving object content that is enhanced with textual content presented using rapid serial visual presentation ('RSVP'). In one embodiment, video content is enhanced with RSVP content. Related embodiments provide systems and methods for displaying, creating, and editing such content. A particular embodiment provides for RSVP enhanced video previews. In another embodiment, augmented reality content is enhanced with RSVP content. In some embodiments, RSVP enhanced moving object content is provided on various end user electronic devices including smart phones, smart watches, and head mounted displays. These and other embodiments are disclosed further herein.

Various embodiments are disclosed that relate to serially displaying text on an electronic display. In some embodiments, a user device displays a notification marker/icon representing a notification event associated with an application by displaying the notification marker/icon with an icon representing the application. The notification marker/icon further represents a presence of content that is displayable using RSVP. The communications device receives a user interface action to select the notification event, and in response to the user interface action, displays textual content associated with the notification event in a designated display area using RSVP.

Some embodiments track an aggregated quantity of words displayed by Rapid Serial Visual Presentation (RSPV) in a digital media item across a plurality of user electronic devices. Some embodiments track what words are displayed by RSVP. Some embodiments track a percentage of words displayed by RSVP across a plurality of user sessions. Some embodiments track trends in the percentage of words displayed by RSVP. Some embodiments use RSVP tracking and trending information to enhance search results. Some embodiments analyze RSVP consumption across a plurality of sessions to determine opportunities for improving content consumption and improving selection of sub-content items. These and other embodiments are further disclosed herein.

An ohmically or electrothermally controlled valve gate for injection molding apparatus comprises three concentrically located tubes in intimate contact with each other. The innermost tube is an electrode and also serves as the passage for flowing molding material. The outermost of the three tubes is also an electrode. The intermediate tube is a resistive heating element comprising a mixture of at least two highly compacted powders. One powder is an electrical conductor, while the other powder, which serves as a binder for the first powder, is an electrical insulator but a good thermal conductor. Current flow between the electrodes occurs at points of contact between adjacent particles of the conductive powder. Thus, the electrical resistance and therefore the generation of heat is controlled by the composition and quantity of binder in the heating element. The generated heat is conducted through the inner electrode tube to the flowing plastic to melt the plastic and 'open' the gate. Interruption or reduction of current flow reduces the heat and permits the plastic in the passage to freeze, thereby 'closing' the gate.
