A process for characterizing a blood sample includes: insertion, into a channel with an inlet and outlet, of a solution including blood platelets, the solution being inserted via the inlet of the channel; creating a pressure difference between the inlet and the outlet to move the solution from the inlet towards the outlet of the channel; passage of the solution into a measurement zone of the channel, provided with electrodes; measurement, by the electrodes and measurement element, of an electric signal while the electrodes are covered by the solution in the channel. The progression of the solution from the inlet towards the outlet of the channel includes a progression of a front between, on the one hand, the solution extending from the front towards the inlet of the channel and, on the other hand, a gas extending from the front towards the outlet of the channel.

Process for characterizing a blood sample

The present invention relates to a new method for the preservation of blood platelets. In particular, the present invention provides a method which includes submitting the platelets to zeodration carried out at temperatures between 18&#xb0; C. and 24&#xb0; C. The dried platelets thus obtained can be preserved at room temperature for long period of time. The invention also provides kits and compositions for using the preserved platelets.

Zeodration method for the preservation of blood platelets

The invention relates to the test device for platelet aggregation detection comprising: &#x2014;an element () for receiving a blood sample&#x2014;a capillary tube () connected at a first end () to said element () and at a second end () to a pressure lowering device () to pump said blood sample through said capillary tube ()&#x2014;at least a pair of facing electrodes () on the capillary tube&#x2014;a device for measuring an impedance between said pair of facing electrodes. The invention also relates to a process for using this device, comprising: a) receiving a blood sample and pumping it through the capillar tube () b) determining a dynamic change of the value of the impedance between at least one pair of electrodes ().
