Various implementations of a bone anchoring assembly comprise a bone anchor and an insert. The bone anchor comprises a proximal end, a distal end, an outer profile suitable for defining a firm and stable coupling with the bone tissue, and a seat open at the proximal end, in which the seat defines an axis. The insert defines an axis that is suitable for being received in the seat of the bone anchor and comprises a proximal end, a distal end, and one or more eyelets placed at the proximal end. Moreover, the seat and the insert comprise snap coupling means suitable for axially retaining the insert in the seat and suitable for allowing the free rotation of the insert in the seat around the axis of the insert.

A broach handle for a rasp includes a proximal part extending along a first axis between a first portion of the handle and a second portion of the handle, and a proximal part extending partially along a second axis between a third portion of the handle, connected to the second portion, and a fourth portion of the handle, and partially along a third axis between a fifth portion of the handle, connected to the fourth portion, and a sixth portion of the handle connectable to a rasp. The sixth portion of the handle has a connection surface for connecting to the rasp having a normal extending along a normal axis defining a connection axis between the handle and the rasp. A first convex angle is defined between the first axis and the second axis, and a second convex angle is defined between the third axis and the normal axis.

A bone anchor for attaching a suture thread or ligament comprises a main body extending along a longitudinal axis and having a fork-shaped end portion. The end portion is provided with a first and a second fork arm each extending between a constrained end and a free end and spaced apart by an axial slit for receiving a suture thread. Said first and second fork arms have, at their constrained ends, a transverse notch defining two axial retention shoulders for the suture thread.

Various implementations include a tool for the subcutaneous cutting of tendons. The tool includes a shaft, arranged along a longitudinal axis, having a proximal end and a distal end, a grip, provided at the proximal end, comprising a fixed handle and a movable trigger, and a cutting head placed at the distal end, which comprises a tendon harvesting tip provided with a groove and a blade. The blade and the harvesting tip are movable relative to each other on a plane which contains the longitudinal axis of the shaft. An extraction system for bone staples provided with a first and a second element, comprising a main gripping body having a distal end and a proximal end. The device comprises, in addition, a central rod provided with a proximal end and a distal end, the latter adapted to couple with the first element of the staple. The central rod slides axially within the main gripping body between a first position and a second position by means of suitable movement means. The device has a plurality of abutment elements protruding in the axial direction from the distal end of the main body, which are arranged circumferentially around the central rod, adapted to act on the second element of the staple to obtain, in cooperation with the movement of the central rod, the separation of the second element of the staple from the first element of the staple and the removal thereof.

Various implementations include a polyaxial surgical screw and a device for implanting the screw. The screw comprises: an internally hollow tulip displaying a first open end for accessing inside the tulip, a second end opposite to the first end, and a side wall extending between the first and the second end; and a threaded shank displaying a first end defining the tip of the screw and a second end opposite to the first one displaying a ball joint joined to the second end of the tulip to orient said shank with respect to the tulip itself. The tulip also comprises at least one elongated rod projecting from the side wall and extending from the first end in a direction opposite to the second end.

A surgical device comprising a handling member comprising a sleeve with a central slot and a guiding pin, a guiding element that can be slid into the central slot and externally having a guiding groove that is slidably coupled to a guiding pin, locking means configured to lock the sliding of the guiding element inside the central slot, and switchable between an activation configuration, wherein the movement of the guiding element inside said central slot is prevented, and a deactivation configuration, wherein the movement of the guiding element is free. The guiding groove comprises a first and a second rectilinear groove portion, angularly spaced apart and mutually interconnected by means of a transversal connecting groove portion interposed between said first and said second rectilinear groove portions.

Surgical device

A device for tensioning a surgical thread comprising: an elongated body having a tip portion adapted to be arranged in contact with a knot of a surgical thread wound about a patient's bone and a maneuvering member connected to the elongated body by a screw and nut mechanism configured to adjust the distance between said elongated body and said maneuvering member, said maneuvering member having respective coupling portions for coupling opposite ends of the surgical thread wound and knotted about the bone. The opposite ends of the surgical thread reversibly constrainable to the respective coupling portions in a use configuration of the device. The distance between the elongated body and the maneuvering member can be increased along a movement axis to tension the opposite ends so as to tighten the surgical thread about the bone. The tip portion has a groove shaped to receive at least partially the knot.

A femoral component and a tibial component are respectively configured to exclusively couple with the distal end of a femur bearing a femoral prosthesis and with the proximal end of a tibia bearing a tibial prosthesis. The femoral component has a distal portion configured to face the distal end of the femur, bearing distal positioning holes facing a distal region of the femoral prosthesis. A frontal portion extends on the continuation of the distal portion and has a first abutment area operating against the femur bone part and a second area facing a frontal region of the femoral prosthesis. The frontal portion has at least two guide holes at the first abutment area, and at least two frontal positioning holes at the second area.

A surgical device for arthroscopy includes an insertion arm having a folded contact end, a handle connected to a connection end of the insertion arm, opposite to the folded contact end, and extending transversely to the insertion arm, and a retrieval element connected to the insertion arm and mobile along the insertion arm between a retracted position and an extracted position in which it intercepts a leading end of a suture thread at the folded contact end, and mobile between the extracted position and the retracted position in which it holds the leading end. The retrieval element is a basket made of flexible material defining a containment volume for receiving said leading end of the suture thread. The containment volume is configured to expand in the transition between the retracted position and the extracted position and to shrink in the transition between the extracted position and the retracted position.

Various implementations include a positioning device of a surgical instrument for hip arthroplasty surgery that includes an arched structure having a first and a second end, wherein the first end can be positioned inside a patient, a gripping element located at the second end of the arched structure, a surgical instrument that can be coupled to the gripping element at a seat made in this gripping element, and a positioning and fixing head arranged at the first end of the arched structure.
