A guiding and sealing unit for a shock absorber rod, including a bushing and a sealing assembly including a sealing ring made of an elastomeric material and having at least one annular lip that projects radially and axially towards an axis of symmetry (A) of the unit, and an annular shield that supports and is integral with the sealing ring is provided. The annular shield is formed by a metallic sleeve having a first axial end portion that integrally supports the sealing ring, and from which the annular lip extends in a cantilever fashion inside the metallic sleeve, and a second end portion that integrally houses the annular bushing inside itself.

Guiding and sealing unit, particularly for a shock absorber rod

A sealing assembly insertable between a rod and a guiding bush of a shock absorber to form a sealing and guiding unit for the rod is provided. The assembly includes an elastomeric ring having a first and a second annular lip which extend axially and radially overhanging; and a reinforcing ring integrally coupled to the elastomeric ring, radially on the side of the first and of the second sealing lip. The reinforcing ring is integrally coupled in one piece with the elastomeric ring, on the exterior of the elastomeric ring and on the side of a lateral surface thereof facing towards the lips, the reinforcing ring coupling in sliding manner with the rod to serve as guide therefor. The sealing ring coupling by interference with the guiding bush.

Sealing assembly adapted to be inserted between two relatively slidable members

A sealing assembly for insertion between first and second mechanical elements subjected to offset positioning, including a reinforcement ring and at least one elastomeric sealing element in which the reinforcement ring is at least partially embedded, the sealing element including an annular membrane shaped as a truncated-cone sleeve and free from the reinforcement ring, which membrane obliquely extends to protrude from the reinforcement ring, towards a symmetry axis of the sealing assembly and ends with at least one annular sealing lip intended to slidingly cooperate with the first mechanical element; the membrane has, in radial direction, a relatively thin thickness, thinner than that of the at least one sealing lip, so as to be highly flexible, and a plurality of stiffening ribs formed with the membrane, which extend in the axial direction, parallel to one another, spaced apart from one another to form longitudinally extending radial projections on the membrane.
