A rotor for an electric motor comprising a crankshaft extending along an axis (X-X) coinciding with an axis of rotation of the crankshaft, and at least one steel plate having slots for housing magnets. The steel plate includes a central seat, keyed to an outer side wall of the crankshaft according to an interference coupling, wherein the steel plate is coupled to the crankshaft at the central seat by a first tooth obtained on the steel plate, which projects towards the associated crankshaft and a first radial seat, obtained on the outer side wall of the crankshaft. The first radial seat has an isosceles trapezium cross-section delimited laterally by a pair of oblique sides converging towards the axis of rotation. The first tooth has a 'V' cross-section with a pair of curvilinear side walls, suitable for interfacing against the oblique sides of the first radial seat.

Rotor for electric motor, particularly for traction, and related electric motor

A rotor for a rotary electric machine; the rotor has: a shaft, which is mounted so as to rotate around a rotation axis; a magnetic core, which is arranged around the shaft and consists of a plurality of lamination sheets stacked together; and a pair of end discs, which are arranged around the shaft at the two opposite ends of the magnetic core and are designed to keep the lamination sheets of the magnetic core stacked together; wherein the end discs are designed to have balancing holes, which dynamically balance the rotor around the rotation axis. Each end disc consists of an inner component with an annular shape, which is arranged around the shaft and is made of a first metal material, and of an outer component with an annular shape, which is arranged around the inner component and is made of a second metal material, which is different from the first metal material and is non-magnetic.

Rotor for a rotary electric machine

An electric motor including a rotor, rotating about an axis of rotation, and a stator, coaxial to the rotor. The stator has a casing. A body incorporates a controller of the electric motor. The body is placed outside the stator and parallel to the axis of rotation in a position substantially tangent to the casing of the stator. The rotor includes a first and second cooling fan, keyed on respective first and second axial ends of the rotor, opposite along the axis of rotation. The first and second cooling fans generate respectively, with the rotation of the rotor, a first and a second flow of cooling air independent of each other. The first flow of cooling air is directed toward the first axial end of the rotor, and the second flow of cooling air is directed towards the body so as to cool down the controller.

Electric motor having a tangential architecture with improved air cooling

An electric machine having a tangential architecture comprising a rotor, rotating about an axis of rotation, a stator, coaxial to the rotor with respect to said axis of rotation, the stator comprising a casing which at least partially incorporates the rotor, a power supply body which incorporates a controller for the actuation, the power supply and the control of the electric machine. The power supply body is located outside the stator and parallel to the axis of rotation in a position substantially tangent to the casing of the stator. The controller includes a power module to power the electric machine. The power module is provided with a main heat sink, suitable to dissipate the thermal power emitted by the power module itself, and the power module is thermally insulated from the remaining controller.
