A bearing unit for a wheel hub assembly for motor vehicles, the bearing unit having an axis of rotation (X) and having two radially outer raceways, two radially inner raceways, two rows of rolling bodies, the bearing unit having tribological parameters whose values affect the magnitude of the frictional forces between the respective raceways and rolling bodies of the rows of rolling bodies, wherein at least one value of a tribological parameter is minimized or maximized to reduce the magnitude of the frictional forces as a function of the relative position along the axis (X) of a line of action (W) of loads acting on the bearing unit and of the plane of axial symmetry (Z).

Wheel hub assembly having low friction and high performance

Steering suspension module including a shock absorber strut, a suspension upright, an outer ring of a wheel hub unit attached integrally to a front face of the suspension upright, and a ball joint for articulation with a control arm; wherein the suspension strut consists of a cup-shaped body made entirely of continuous, sheared and bent metal sheet, and the outer ring is provided integral in one piece with, and radially cantilevered from, a steering arm extending transversely cantilevered from the cup-shaped body, on the side of the cup-shaped body; the shock absorber strut is constrained within a first seat of the cup-shaped body and the ball joint is made as an independent unit constrained integrally with a second seat of the cup-shaped body in a position facing the first seat, the ball joint projecting inferiorly cantilevered from the cup-shaped body.

Integrated steering suspension module for a vehicle

A clamping system for a hub bearing assembly includes a screw element configured to engage with a threaded section formed on a flanged hub of a bearing unit. The screw element includes a flange-shaped head configured to cooperate with an annular element of the bearing unit and axially constrain the flanged hub and the annular element, an elastic ring, and at least one annular seat for the elastic ring. The at least one annular seat is formed radially on the inside of the annular element or on the outside of the flange-shaped head along a radially outer peripheral edge of the flange-shaped head.

Hub bearing constant velocity joint

A steering suspension of a vehicle includes a suspension upright and a mechanical component consisting of a radially outer ring of a wheel hub unit or of a rolling bearing forming part of a wheel hub unit. The outer ring is provided integral in one piece with a flange and a steering arm, extending radially cantilevered from the outer ring and the flange, with which it is also integral in one piece. On the side opposite to the steering arm the flange is integral in one piece with a pair of axially drilled radial lugs, configured to support, in use, a brake caliper.

Component for a steering suspension of a vehicle

Bearing unit provided with at least one ring of rolling bodies and, for retaining the rolling bodies, at least one retaining cage which has a cage bar, a plurality of circumferentially spaced cage arms that extend from one side of the cage bar, and a plurality of partially spherical cavities for retaining the rolling bodies; contact points between the rolling bodies and the cage being positioned in the vicinity of a polar region of each rolling body. Rolling contact bearing with improved performances

A rolling bearing of a wheel hub group for motor vehicles, equipped with a stationary radially outer ring and with respective radially outer raceways, a pair of rotatable radially inner rings equipped with respective radially inner raceways, and two rows of rolling bodies positioned between the corresponding inner and outer raceways. The rolling bearing is also equipped with a piezoelectric actuator housed in a seat of the radially outer ring, in a symmetrical position relative to the raceways, and capable of varying the strain behavior of the radially outer ring.

A bearing unit having at least one row of rolling bodies; and at least one cage for retaining a respective one of the at least one row of rolling bodies.
