A sealant layer assembly which allows a sealant layer to be applied on a tire outside of tire production plants. The assembly comprises a sealant layer to be applied on the surface of an inner liner layer facing the inner cavity of a tire, a net layer arranged on a first surface of the sealant layer, and at least one non-stick protective layer arranged either on a second surface of the sealant layer opposite the first surface or on the net layer.

A rubber compound containing silicon dioxide for the production of tires and comprising a polymer base with a cross-linkable unsaturated chain, a filler comprising silicon dioxide, a silane bonding agent and a vulcanization system. The filler further comprises a composite mineral consisting of a mineral of the zeolite family, onto which a layer of silicon dioxide has been deposited.

Method to prepare rubber compounds containing silicon dioxide for the production of tyres

A method of producing rubber compounds, in which the polymer base is composed partly of a first polymer material having a glass transition temperature of over &#x2212;50&#xb0; C., and partly of a second polymer material having a glass transition temperature of below &#x2212;50&#xb0; C. and silica as a filler. The method includes a preliminary first polymer material treating step, in which the first polymer material, a silica having a surface area of 80 to 135 m/g, a silane bonding agent, and at least one nucleophile agent are mixed together; a preliminary second polymer material treating step, in which the second polymer material, a silica having a surface area of 150 to 220 m/g, a silane bonding agent, and at least one nucleophile agent are mixed together; a mixing step, in which the compounds resulting from the preliminary treating steps are mixed together; and a final step, in which stearic acid and a curing system are added and mixed with the compound being produced.

Rubber tyre compound production method

A method of producing a rubber compound containing silica, the method including a step of dispersing the silica in a polymer base, and a following step of mixing the previously formed mixture with curing agents. The step of dispersing the silica in the polymer base includes the following sequence of operations: soaking the polymer base in a liquid silica precursor to form a swollen polymer; &#x2014;adding the swollen polymer to an organic solvent, and continually stirring the swollen polymer solution; &#x2014;adding water and a silica synthesizing catalyst to the swollen polymer solution; &#x2014;precipitating a polymer gel matrix by adding a precipitating agent; &#x2014;separating and washing the precipitated polymer gel matrix.

Method of producing a rubber compound comprising silica

A method of producing a rubber compound, which includes mixing at least one cross-linkable unsaturated-chain polymer base, silica with a surface area of 100-220 m/g, a first silane coupling agent in the polysulphide organosilane class, and a second silane coupling agent in the class of mercaptosilane protected in the form of thioester, and whereby the second silane coupling agent is added to the mix after the first silane coupling agent has reacted with the silica.
