A correction device for correcting the air-fuel ratio of the mixture deli vered by a carburetor is described; the device comprises a first channel communicating, at one end, with a gasoline delivering circuit and with the atmosphere, respectively, through two conduits, end at the other end, with the intake conduit of the carburetor in a zone located near the rim of the throttle; opening into the said first channel, is a first end of a second channel whose other end communicates with the atmosphere, and along the said second channel there is disposed valve means arranged to interrupt the said communication with the atmosphere in response to the variations of the vacuum in the said intake conduit downstream of the throttle valve of the carburetor.

An injection valve comprising a hollow casing containing an electromagnetic winding connected to a source of electric pulses, an armature in the casing near the winding, a likewise hollow nozzle held by the casing so as to extend therein for a length defined by the geometrical requirements of the intake manifold so as suitably to position the fuel discharge aperture at the front end of the manifold, a closure means having a first end secured to the armature, an external surface coupled to the inner surface of the nozzle, to guide the travel of the closure means, and a second end comprising a conical part adapted to come in contact with a conical seat formed in the nozzle immediately upstream of a bore and bearing a fuel-atomizing deflector which co-operates with the bore in the nozzle to define the fuel discharge aperture, the conical part forming a seal when, under the action of a resilient force, it is in contact with the conical seat whereas it opens the discharge aperture under the action of the magnetic field so as to allow fuel to escape from the valve, the valve also comprising end-of-travel means adapted to limit the opening travel of the closure means, and a pipe system through which the fuel, after being sent to the valve under pressure by the supply device, travels from the inlet to a region upstream of the sealing seat and between the outer surface of the closure means and the inner surface of the nozzle; said pipe system, at the region upstream of the sealing seat, being formed with a number of bores 37, the axis of which has a considerable component parallel to the central longitudinal axis of the injector.

A carburetor for internal combustion engines comprises, inter alia, a body tube into which the main feed circuit and the idling and progression feed circuit open. During cold-engine starting and operation, the richness and flow rate of the mixture delivered by the carburetor has to be increased. For this purpose, choke valves disposed in the carburetor body tube upstream of the main feed circuit have been used for some time, these when closed enabling the fuel to flow from this latter feed circuit even for low air throughputs through the tube. The carburetor throttle valve is also disposed in a 'fast idle' position in order to increase the mixture flow rate. The invention generally relates to a device which controls the positions of the choke valve and throttle valve by taking account of the engine temperature, and more particularly which makes said positions entirely automatic, independently of correct use by the driver.

An electromagnetically actuated fuel injector is disclosed which includes an electrically wound core and a coaxial moving iron. A needle valve is secured to the iron to close an aperture provided in a bushing. The front surface of the core has an insulated thickening which serves to center the moving assembly and to limit opening travel.

The device is mounted on the vehicle structure rather than the engine and is comprised of a rotary cam disposed in operative relation with the plurality of metering valves to control the air supply from a single conduit leading from the air filter to a plurality of conduits leading to the various carburetor ducts.
