A synergistic stabilizer mixture comprising a component a) and, for example, a component b), where component a) is at least one compound of the formula I ##STR1## in which R.sub.1 is hydrogen or methyl, R.sub.2 is a direct bond or C.sub.1 -C.sub.10 alkylene, and n.sub.1 is a number from 2 to 50; component b) is at least one compound of the formulae IIa and IIb ##STR2## in which n.sub.2 and n.sub.2 * are a number from 2 to 50.

A description is given of a process for stabilising an organic polymer against ozone in the ambient air, which comprises adding to the polymer as stabiliser a monomeric sterically hindered piperidine compound, or an oligomeric or polymeric sterically hindered piperidine compound containing one or several triazine units, or a secondary sterically hindered piperidine compound, the piperidine compound containing in any case at least one unit of formula I ##STR1## wherein G is hydrogen or methyl, and G.sub.1 and G.sub.2 are hydrogen, methyl or, taken together, oxygen. With this process it is possible to make a more accurate prediction of the service time of the polymer and it helps to avoid unnecessarily high dosages of the stabiliser.

Ozone-resistant long-term stabilisers

A synergistic stabilizer mixture comprising a component a) and, for example, a component d), where component a) is, for example, a compound of the formula I-a ##STR1## in which n.sub.1 is a number from 2 to 50, and component d) is, for example, a compound of the formula V-a ##STR2## in which n.sub.4 is a number from 1 to 50.

A composition for controlling harmful insects and representatives of the order Acarina, containing as biologically active components a) a substance that modifies the behavior of the pests and b) at least one pesticidally active compound, wherein the biologically active components are contained in a flowable or viscous non-hardening matrix that is resistant to water and weather, is protected against light and is suitable for distribution in the form of droplets or droplet-like units or spots that adhere to a substrate, by means of which matrix the behavior-modifying substance is protected against UV radiation and from which it is slowly released in a biologically effective amount over a prolonged period, and wherein the pesticidally active compound can be taken up in a pesticidally effective amount from the surface of the droplets or droplet-like units or spots by the pests to be controlled; as well as a method of controlling the said pests, especially plant-destructive insects.

A stabilizer mixture comprising, for example, a compound of formula I and a compound of formula III ##STR1## wherein n.sub.1 and n.sub.2 may be an integer from 2 to 20, R.sub.1, R.sub.3, R.sub.6 and R.sub.8 may each be independently of one another hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl or a group of formula II ##STR2## wherein R.sub.5 may be hydrogen or methyl, R.sub.2 and R.sub.7 are each independently of the other C.sub.2 -C.sub.6 alkylene, R.sub.4 may be C.sub.1 -C.sub.10 alkyl or cyclohexyl, R.sub.9 and R.sub.10 may each be independently of the other C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 alkyl or a group of formula II, or R.sub.9 and R.sub.10, together with the linking nitrogen atom, are morpholino.
