Compositions are disclosed comprising (i) a high molecular weight base polymer, and (ii) a relatively low molecular weight ester copolymer comprising an olefin and a copolymerizable ester, wherein the ester copolymer has a pour point less than 40&#xb0; C. In certain embodiments, the high molecular weight base polymer and the relatively low molecular weight ester copolymer are both selected from ethylene-based copolymers such as ethylene-vinyl acetate and ethylene-n-butyl acrylate.

Adhesive compositions and methods

Provided are adhesive compositions composed of a polyolefin composition comprising at least about 50 wt. % polypropylene and at least one wax. The polymer compositions have a Dot T-Peel of about 1 Newton or more, a branching index (g') of 0.95 or less measured at the Mz of the polymer, a molecular weight of 100,000 or less, and the adhesive compositions has a fast set time. The packaging industry desires adhesive compositions having a fast set time, such as those setting in less than five seconds from a molten state at conventional packaging operating temperatures to a solid or quasi solid having favorable Dot T-Peel, set time, and or fiber tear adhesion properties. Polymer based adhesives performing within this window are a favorable alternative to conventional formulated adhesives. The provided adhesive compositions exhibit a favorable balance of properties such as high adhesive strength, wide temperature operating window, and fast set time.

Polyolefin adhesive compositions and articles made therefrom

Polyolefin adhesive compositions and method of making thereof

An adhesive and method for hot melt adhesive application. The adhesive comprises polyolefin base polymer and from 1 to 15 wt % of a at least two wax components, based on the total weight of the polyolefin base polymer and the at least two wax components, wherein the at least two wax components comprise a first wax component having a relatively low weight average molecular weight at least 1000 g/mole less than a second wax component having a relatively high weight average molecular weight. The adhesive may have at least 50% fiber tear at 25&#xb0; C., and a characteristic set time of less than 3 seconds. The adhesive may also include from 1 to 10 wt % of at least one functionalized polyolefin.

Polyolefin adhesive compositions

An adhesive and method for hot melt application. The adhesive comprises polyolefin base polymer, from 1 to 10 wt % of at least one functionalized polyolefin, and from 1 to 15 wt % of a wax, based on the total weight of the polyolefin base polymer, functionalized polyolefin and wax, wherein the wax has a weight average molecular weight at least 8% of the weight average molecular weight of the polyolefin base polymer, viscosity at 190&#xb0; C. of 60 mPa&#xb7;s or more, and a crystallization temperature greater than the polyolefin base polymer and greater than 100&#xb0; C., and wherein the adhesive has at least 5% fiber tear at 2&#xb0; C., at least 50% fiber tear at 25&#xb0; C., and a characteristic set time of less than 3 seconds.

Disclosed is a method for making molecular sieve catalyst particles. Dried molecular sieve catalyst particles are used to make the catalyst. The dried molecular sieve catalyst particles are put into an aqueous solution and stirred to make a slurry. The slurry is dried to make the molecular sieve catalyst particles. Optionally, the dried molecular sieve catalyst particles made from the slurry are calcined.
