Silicone-containing light fixture optics. A method for manufacturing an optical component may include mixing two precursors of silicone, opening a first gate of an optic forming device, moving the silicone mixture from the extrusion machine into the optic forming device, cooling the silicone mixture as it enters the optic forming device, filling a mold within the optic forming device with the silicone mixture, closing the first gate, and heating the silicone mixture in the mold to at least partially cure the silicone. Alternatively, a method for manufacturing an optical component may include depositing a layer of heat cured silicone optical material to an optical structure, arranging one or more at least partially cured silicone optics on the layer of heat cured silicone optical material, and heating the heat cured silicone optical material to permanently adhere the one or more at least partially cured silicone optics to the optical structure.

Silicone optics

An ultraviolet ('UV') emission device may emit energy towards a movable surface of a conveyor system. A housing of the UV emission device may attach to a frame of the conveyor system. A lateral edge of the housing may extend across the moveable surface. The housing and a portion of the moveable surface may be inclined with respect to the frame. A barrier bracket of the UV emission device may support an absorptive barrier along the lateral edge, the absorptive barrier configured to contact the moveable surface. In a first position of the barrier bracket, the absorptive barrier contacts the moveable surface and the barrier bracket activates an interlock switch. In a second position of the barrier bracket, the barrier bracket deactivates the interlock switch. Responsive to deactivation of the interlock switch, a controller may provide a control signal to decrease power to the UV energy emission element.

Techniques for directing ultraviolet energy towards a moving surface

An ultraviolet ('UV') emission device may emit energy towards a movable surface of a conveyor system, A housing of the UV emission device may attach to a frame of the conveyor system. A lateral edge of the housing may extend across the moveable surface. The housing and a portion of the moveable surface may be inclined with respect to the frame. A barrier bracket of the UV emission device may support an absorptive barrier along the lateral edge, the absorptive barrier configured to contact the moveable surface. In a first position of the barrier bracket, the absorptive barrier contacts the moveable surface and the barrier bracket activates an interlock switch. Responsive to deactivation of the interlock switch, a controller may provide a control signal to decrease power to the UV energy emission element.

A light fixture includes an electronics housing, opposing connector assemblies and at least one light module. The electronics housing and the at least one light module are each supported by and extend between the opposing connector assemblies such that a gap is provided between the electronics housing and light module.

Horticultural light fixture

A light fixture includes a main body, at least a portion of which is generally cylindrical, the main body having an open side, and one or more light sources disposed within the main body. The light fixture further includes one or more mounting rings configured to substantially encircle the main body and configured for mounting the light fixture. A diffuser may be provided, covering the open side of the main body and enclosing the one or more light sources within the light fixture.

Rotatable light fixture

A sectional guide pole for wiring includes a first support, a second support, and a joiner assembly. The first support includes a body having a first end and a second end opposite the first end. The joiner assembly includes a first joiner and a second joiner. The joiner assembly is configured to detachably secure the first support to the second support and receive the first end of the first support between the first joiner and the second joiner.

Sectional guide pole for wiring

A lighting system or method adaptively illuminates a face of an architectural panel. An example illumination system includes an optic and a pixel controllable array of solid state light emitters. When installed, the optic is aimed with its optical axis at an acute angle relative to a face of the panel. The array is coupled to selectively emit light from emitters at pixels of the array through the optic toward different regions of the face of the architectural panel. A controller is coupled to control the individual light emitters, via a driver of the emitters. The controller controls the emitters of the array so as to selectively control output intensity of the light emitters when emitting light through the optic toward selected regions of the face of the architectural panel, so as to adaptively illuminate surface topology features of the face of the architectural panel.

Adaptive surface illumination

A light fixture includes an electronic accessory module such as a wireless communication module, and a clip for mounting the accessory module to a panel of the light fixture. The clip includes features for snapping the accessory module to a panel of the light fixture, for example to a printed circuit board holding light emitting diodes or to a sheet metal panel that is part of the structure of the light fixture. The clip may hold the accessory module electronics away from any metal parts of the light fixture. In the case that the accessory module is a wireless communication module, this spacing may facilitate robust wireless communication.

Light fixture accessory mount

Retrofit kits for retrofitting LED light engines into existing light fixture housings. The retrofit kit includes a hook bracket that may be mounted in the housing and from which an end of the LED light engine can be suspended so as to permit an installer to electrically connect the LED light engine. The retrofit kit also includes a mounting bracket to secure the free end of the LED light engine into the housing after the LED light engine has been rotated upwardly into the housing from the hanging position.

Light engine retrofit kit and method for installing same

A tri-lobe optic for a linear light source, and related light rails, retrofit kits and light fixtures, are disclosed. The linear light source defines a light emitting region along an axis. The tri-lobe optic includes an optical material having a constant cross-sectional profile along a direction of the axis from a first axial end to a second axial end. The cross-sectional profile includes a first azimuthal side relative to the axis and concave and convex curves relative to the axis. The curves are a first concave curve coupled with the first azimuthal side, a first convex curve, a second concave curve, a second convex curve and a third concave curve. Each of the concave curves defines a lobe of the optical material along the direction of the axis. The cross-sectional profile further includes a second azimuthal side relative to the axis, coupled with the third concave curve.

Tri-lobe optic and associated light fixtures

A Bluetooth beacon for a luminaire assembly includes a module and an antenna associated with the module. The Bluetooth beacon is monted such that the antenna is communicatively visible from a light emitting side of the luminaire assembly. The Bluetooth beacon is configured to provide a signal extending a predetermined distance from the luminaire assembly such that a Bluetooth receiver on a user device can receive a signal from the Bluetooth beacon.
