A manufacturing method of an eco friendly foam package material includes a raw material mixing step for mixing raw materials uniformly and thoroughly to form a mixed raw material, a raw material hybrid-melting step for performing a hybrid-melting process to form a hybrid-melted material, a particle forming step for performing the particle forming process by putting the hybrid-melted material into a pelletizer to form plastic particles, and a foam extrusion step. In the foam extrusion step the plastic particles are melted to become a gelatinous state material, and foamed with non-chemical method. Since the properties of the biodegradable polymer are changed by the decomposition enzyme, and further to mix with bio-cellulose and the industrial starch, such that the eco friendly foam package material with compostability is obtained.

A vibration filter that eliminates the problems of polarization, blockage and fouling is disclosed to include a separation membrane for removing solid matter in a fluid, a base, a magnetic field generator controllable to provide a variable magnetic flux, and vibrators made by a magnetostrictive material and arranged in an array on the base and kept in close contact with the separation membrane for vibrating the separation membrane upon generation of a variable magnetic flux by the magnetic field generator.

A waste fluorescent lamp dismantling method and apparatus is set up to clamp two ends of a waste fluorescent lamp adjacent to its aluminum caps, and to maintain an airtight seal between the clamp sections and the aluminum caps, so that when the aluminum caps at two ends are separated from the waste fluorescent lamp, the gas and vapor in the lamp tube will be prevented from escaping. This apparatus and method can rapidly process waste fluorescent lamps while also conforming to environmental protection requirements.

A method for separating iron for nickel and/or cadmium contained in a battery waste is composed of a first step in which the spent batteries are crushed and calcined. The calcined pieces are mixed with an acetic acid aqueous solution before acetic acid and water are removed by evaporation or distillation so as to produce a residue containing metallic acetates. Water, the residue and an oxidant are mixed such that Fe.sup.+ and Fe.sup.++ acetates are converted into a basic ferric acetate, Fe(CH.sub.3 COO).sub.2 OH, which is insoluble in water and is recovered by filtration.
