A roller screw mechanism is provided comprising a screw with an outer thread, and a nut disposed around and coaxially with the screw and comprising an inner thread; and with rollers that each have an outer thread and inserted between the screw and the nut, each roller having two ends each provided with an outer gear teeth, each outer gear teeth having, in cross-section, an outer diameter less than or equal to a root diameter of the outer thread of the rollers; and two synchronizing gear teeth disposed coaxially to the screw and in which the outer gear teeth of the rollers engage, wherein the outer gear teeth of the rollers have teeth with a flank having, in cross-section, a convex hypotrochoidal profile and the synchronizing gear teeth have teeth with a flank having, in cross-section, a hypotrochoidal or epitrochoidal profile.

Planetary roller screw mechanism

The roller screw mechanism provides a screw having an outer thread, a nut surrounding and coaxial with the screw, the nut including an inner thread, and a plurality of rollers radially disposed between the screw and the nut and cooperating with the outer and inner threads. A roller screw mechanism has a screw provided with an outer thread, a nut surrounding and coaxial with the screw, the nut being provided with an inner thread, a plurality of rollers radially disposed between the screw and the nut and each provided with an outer thread engaging the outer and inner threads and with two outer gear teeth, and two synchronization gear teeth meshing with the gear teeth of the rollers. The mechanism further includes one retaining cage for the rollers including a plurality of pockets spaced apart one with another in the circumferential direction. A roller screw mechanism comprising a screw having an outer thread, a nut disposed around and coaxially with the screw. The nut includes an inner thread. A plurality of rollers are disposed radially between the screw and the nut and are each provided with an outer thread engaged with the outer and inner threads of the screw and of the nut and with two outer gear teeth. The mechanism additionally comprises two synchronizing gear teeth that are formed on the nut and are each engaged with one of the gear teeth of the rollers. A roller screw mechanism comprises a screw having an outer thread and a nut disposed around and coaxially with the screw. The nut comprises an inner thread. A plurality of rollers are disposed radially between the screw and the nut; each roller being provided with an outer thread engaged with the outer and inner threads of the screw and of the nut and with two outer gear teeth. The mechanism also comprises two synchronizing gear teeth that are each engaged with one of the gear teeth of the rollers. An outside diameter of each gear teeth of each roller is less than a diameter of a root of the thread of the roller. Each tooth of the gear teeth of the rollers comprises planar faces that engage with the synchronizing gear teeth.

Roller screw mechanism and associated manufacturing method

A roller screw mechanism comprising a screw, provided with an outer thread, a nut positioned around and coaxially to the screw, the nut being provided with an inner thread, and a plurality of rollers inserted between the screw and the nut, each comprising an outer thread engaged with the outer thread of the screw and with the inner thread of the nut. Each of the threads of the screw, rollers and nut comprise first and second axially opposite flanks, respectively forming a first and second angle with a plane perpendicular to the central axis of the screw, the first and second flanks of each thread of the rollers respectively being in contact with the first and second flanks of the nut's thread and with the first and second flanks of the screw's thread. The value of the first angle is different from the value of the second angle.

A roller screw mechanism provided with a screw having an external thread, a nut surrounding and coaxial with the screw, the nut including an internal thread, two gear wheels mounted in a non-threaded part of the nut, each gear wheel providing a first set of teeth having a plurality of internal teeth, and a plurality of rollers radially located between the screw and the nut, each roller having an external thread designed to engage the external and internal threads of the screw and the nut, and axially at each end a first set of teeth having a plurality of gear teeth designed to engage with the internal gear teeth of the gear wheels. The outer diameter of the gear teeth of each roller is less or equal to the diameter of the thread root of the external thread of the roller.
