A method of forming a sheet-metal based double-walled stationary blade includes providing a first and second pre-product layers, providing a guide slot for a cutter, and bonding longitudinal ends of the first and second pre-product layers together to include an offset forming a guide slot to receive a to-be-mounted cutter. The bonding includes melting or depositing material at transition zone, thereby forming tips of the stationary blade teeth which are arranged adjacent to the transition zone between the pre-product layers.

The present disclosure relates to a method of forming a sheet-metal based double-walled stationary blade () for a hair cutting appliance (), the method comprising: providing a first pre-product layer (), providing a second pre-product layer () which is separate from the first pre-product layer (), providing a guide slot () for a cutter (), and bonding the first pre-product layer () and the second pre-product layer () to one another such that the pre-product layers () are arranged to jointly receive a to-be-mounted cutter (), wherein the first pre-product layer () and the second pre-product layer (), in the bonded state, are at least partially offset from one another to provide a defined mating clearance fit for the to-be-mounted cutter (), wherein the pre-product layers () are bonded to one another at their longitudinal ends such that stationary blade teeth () are partially formed by the first pre-product layer () and partially formed by the second pre-product layer (), and wherein tips () of the stationary blade teeth () are arranged adjacent to a transition zone () between the pre-product layers (). The present disclosure further relates to a cutting appliance and to a blade set () for such an appliance.

The mouthpiece includes a plurality of individual thin layers of material forming a base or shell portion of the mouthpiece alternating with a plurality of individual bristle layers which are configured to the shape of bristles at the interior surfaces thereof. A magnetic actuator system which includes a case () and a spindle () which extends through the case comprising a magnetizable material such as iron. The actuator further includes a pair of permanent magnet assemblies () positioned fixedly within the casing with a longitudinal space there between, wherein the permanent magnet assemblies comprise an alternating plurality of north pole/south magnet sections () which extend longitudinally or circumferentially of the actuator. The actuator further includes a coil winding () which surrounds the spindle, positioned between the two permanent magnet assemblies. Magnetic pole assemblies () attached to the spindle are positioned within the volume encompassed by the permanent magnet assemblies, such that an alternating drive signal produces an oscillating action of the spindle of desired frequency and amplitude.

The self-contained intraoral appliance includes first and second substantially rigid bands () configured to fit along the outer and the inner surfaces of a row of teeth in the mouth.
