A binocular device for visualizing optical radiation includes a support structure, a left camera, and a right camera coupled to the support structure. The left camera includes left optics and a left image sensor, and the right camera includes right optics and a right image sensor. The left image sensor and the right image sensor are configured to create left and right video signals from detected optical radiation received from the corresponding left and right input optics about a same field of view along respective left and right input optical axes. A specular reflection is detected.

Ultrasonic measurements of fluid properties are performed with the aid of an optical fiber or a package of optical fibers by exciting ultrasound waves at a first location along the optical fiber in the fluid by means of light from the optical fiber and detecting an effect of the ultrasound waves on light reflection or propagation in the optical fiber and/or a further optical fiber in the package at a second location along the optical fiber or at the end of the optical fiber.

Device and method for performing ultrasonic measurements of fluid properties

A method and system are proposed for imaging the retinal structure of an eye. A light source is provided and a repetitive pattern is projected on the retina by said hght source having illuminated and non-illuminated portions with a spatial frequency larger than 0.5 mm-1. For the illuminated and non-illuminated portions a fluorescence level is measured; and a fluorescence level is derived as a corrected value for illuminated and non-illuminated areas.

Quantitative retinal imaging

A spectroscopy device is disclosed for inline monitoring of analytes in bulk fluid streams, capable of maintaining sterile conditions. The device comprises a cassette suitable for holding a fluid analyte () and having a laser entry wall part and a detector wall part, the laser entry wall part arranged to be optically transparent to laser radiation of a predetermined wavelength and the detector wall part arranged to be optically transparent for spectral parts of interest. Laser transmission optics are provided to focus a laser beam to produce a breakdown plasma discharge within the fluid inside the cassette. A photodetector substrate is provided comprising an array of photosensors, tuned to detect characteristic emission lines from the plasma. The photodetector substrate is conformal to at least the detector wall part of the cassette. A placement provision is arranged for user removable placement of the cassette. Dichroic hot and cold mirrors are applied to selectively transmit/reflect excitation laser light and light emitted by the plasma.

System, a method and a computer program for inspection of a three-dimensional environment by a user

The invention relates to a plasma generator () for cleaning an object. The plasma generator () comprises a plasma chamber () and a support structure () arranged in the plasma chamber for supporting the object () to be cleaned. Further, the plasma generator comprises an electromagnetic shield () counteracting a flow of charged plasma particles flowing from a plasma generating region towards the object, and a plasma source (). In addition, the plasma generator comprises an additional plasma source () to form a composition of plasma sources that are arranged to generate in the plasma generating region plasmas, respectively, that mutually interact during operation of the plasma generator so as to force plasma particles to flow in a diffusely closed flow path.

Plasma generator and method for cleaning an object

A method of obtaining an image of buried structures in an object, comprising: providing a camera for imaging visual and infrared-images; providing a bounded light source; partly irradiating said object by said bounded light source; imaging a non-irradiated area of said object by said camera to image said buried structure; and combining said buried structure image with a visual image of said object. Accordingly an image can be obtained while discarding specular reflections of the object. Additionally there is disclosed a method of enhancing imaging of buried structures in an object, comprising: aligning said infrared light source with a visual light source; providing a first edge analysis of said infrared image; providing a second edge analysis of said visual image; comparing said first and second edge analysis; and discarding edges in said infrared image that are also detected in said second image.

Imaging of buried structures

The invention relates to a method of cleaning and/or sterilization of an object provided in a hermetically sealed enclosure, providing a pressure difference between an internal volume of the enclosure and surroundings and generating a plasma solely inside the enclosure for said cleaning and/or sterilization of the object. The invention further relates to an apparatus for enabling the same. The apparatuscomprises a vacuum chamber, which can be evacuated using a vacuum pump, and a sourcearranged to generate plasma of a suitable gas in an enclosure, which is substantially hermetically closed with respect to the atmosphere of the vacuum chamber. The enclosuremay be of a flexible type or may be manufactured from a rigid material. In case when the enclosure is rigid the pressure inside the enclosure may be lower than an outside pressure.
