A system and method for processing solid waste disposal includes a hydrolyzer () and an injection assembly () for transferring waste to the hydrolyzer (). The processed material moves from the vessel to the outfeed assembly, which includes a compaction chamber, a ram that moves within the compaction chamber, and a cutter assembly. Waste is compacted in the compaction chamber by the ram, cut by the cutter assembly, and delivered as a compacted block to an environment having an ambient pressure and/or temperature.

An apparatus for destroying the volatility of propellant and primers associated with small arms ammunition which become inadvertently commingled with a supply of spent casings prior to material deformation and reclamation. The apparatus preferably includes three major sections or components and they are: a material infeed section, a heating section, and a material extraction section. The preferred infeed section includes a hopper placed in conjunction with an incline conveyor and a distally positioned dump chute. The heating section has a material receptacle in the form of a material receiving chute, a heater disposed adjacent to the interior of a longitudinal spirally internally veined rotating drum which communicates with the third section, which is a material extraction or expulsion section also in the form of an incline conveyor and a chute. The heater section includes a heater station which enables a supply of propane or LP gas to be connected thereto and ignited to fire heat the internal chamber of the rotating drum. The heating enables the propellant and primers associated with small arms ammunition casings or live rounds thereof which inadvertently become commingled with spent shell casings prior to the destruction and the material the reclamation process to be rendered inert.

The frame preferably includes spaced-apart side panels and an auxiliary supplementary cooling system panel. Each of the panels is configured with a plurality of spacers and/or perforations to facilitate and encourage the movement of air within the apparatus. The spacers are preferably provided on the interior surfaces of the primary panels to maintain the coil winding in a centered position therewith. Spacers may also be interpositioned between the various layers of the coil itself to enable airflow into and around the various coil layers. Of course, in the alternate embodiment a plurality of coils may be provided such that each individual layers or combination thereof may comprise an individual coil. The preferred frame includes a perforated panel, a substantially non-perforated panel, and a auxiliary supplementary cooling system panel to enable the airflow from within the air space itself interpositioned between the perforated panel and substantially non-perforated panel into the air space established by the auxiliary supplementary cooling system panel and the perforated panel prior to exit and expulsion to the outer atmosphere.
