A mirror adjustment assistance system for trucks having as part of a vehicle body at least a cabin () having a front side with respect to an intended main direction of travel, a driver side, and a co-driver side. At least three adjustable mirrors () are attached to an exterior of the vehicle body or cabin (), each of the at least three adjustable mirrors () has an aiming marker () on or adjacent its reflective surface. At least two vehicle body target markers () are positioned on an exterior surface of the vehicle body (), and at least a single one () of the at least two vehicle body target markers is associated with two of the at least three mirrors (). Any aiming marker () of the at least three adjustable mirrors () can only be aligned with a single one of the at least two vehicle body target markers ().

It is aimed to provide a system for alerting a driver of a driver cabin of a motor vehicle, said system comprising: a plurality of light sources arranged in array to project a signal light against the windshield and/or side window, provided in the driver cabin along a horizontal contour of windshield and side windows, outside a line of sight of the driver, and arranged to show a mirror image of the light source in the windshield or side window, visible to the driver; a tracking controller, arranged to identify one or more objects to be tracked in the perimeter of the motor vehicle; a control system, coupled to the tracking controller for activating a number of light sources of the plurality of light sources, arranged to project a signal light indicative of said tracked object substantially centered along a virtual line of sight from the driver towards the identified object.

Method and system for alerting a truck driver

An on-board vehicle computer system for a vehicle includes at least one processing unit and a memory having stored therein computer-executable instructions configured to cause the on-board vehicle computer system to implement various aspects of a predictive cruise control (PCC) system. In one aspect, the computer system provides a plurality of available speed control bands in a PCC system, and the available speed control bands are selectable by an operator of the vehicle. In another aspect, the computer system provides an upper speed margin and a lower speed margin for a PCC system, and the upper and lower speed margins are adjustable by an operator of the vehicle. Related notifications may be presented via an operator interface (e.g., a touchscreen display provided in a vehicle dashboard or other easily accessible area).
