A battery-powered lawn mower includes a deck, a latch assembly, a battery, a motor and a blade. The deck is supported by wheels and defines a pocket. The latch assembly is coupled to the deck and is movable between a locked position and a fully opened position. The battery is secured within the pocket by the latch assembly in a first configuration and is removable from the pocket in a second configuration. The motor is supported by the deck and electrically coupled to the battery in the first configuration. The blade is coupled to the deck and driven by the motor. During operation, the battery powers the motor to drive the blade.

A tiller constructed in accordance to the present teachings includes a frame, a drive mechanism, and a tilling implement. The drive mechanism can be supported by the frame and include a motor having an output member. The tilling implement can have a drive shaft that is driven by the output member. The tilling implement can comprise a first tine plate and a second tine plate that are both selectively configurable along the drive shaft at a plurality of positions and orientations.

A drive mechanism can be supported by the frame and include a motor having an output member. A tilling implement can have a drive shaft that is driven by the output member. The tilling implement can comprise at least one tine plate. A slider assembly can communicate with the wheel and be movably coupled along the upright assembly. The slider assembly can be configured to securably locate in at least a first position wherein the wheel is located at a first elevation relative to the frame and a second position wherein the wheel is located at a second elevation relative to the frame. The first and second elevations can be distinct.

An electric outdoor power machine includes a machine body supported by wheels and having an output member driven by a motor. The motor is powered by a source of electrical power such as a battery. An upright assembly extends from the machine body and has a gripping handle. A manual input member such as a bail handle is mounted adjacent to the gripping handle and is movable relative to the gripping handle between a deactivated position and an activated position. A control assembly that selectively communicates electric power to the output member includes a button supported by a housing on the upright assembly. The button is movable between an unactuated position and an actuated position. A button crank is coupled to the button and has an interface portion.
