The invention relates to a method for producing one or more olefins and one or more carboxylic acids, in which one or more paraffins is or are subjected to an oxidative dehydrogenation. For the oxidative dehydrogenation, a reactor () having a plurality of reaction zones () is used, a gas mixture comprising the one or more paraffins is successively passed through the reaction zones (), and at least two of the reaction zones () are subject to varying temperature influences. The invention also relates to a corresponding system ().

Method and system for producing one or more olefins and one or more carboxylic acids

A process () for the production of linear alpha-olefins is proposed, wherein ethylene in a feed mixture is subjected to catalytic oligomerization () to obtain a product mixture containing alpha-olefins with different chain length and side compounds. In a primary fractionation (), a primary fraction is formed using at least part of the product mixture, and in a secondary fractionation (), a secondary fraction is formed using at least part of the primary fraction. The primary fractionation () and the secondary fractionation () are carried out such that the primary fraction and the secondary fraction predominantly contain one of the alpha-olefins and are low in or free of other alpha-olefins, that the primary fraction contains one or more of the side compounds, and that the secondary fraction is depleted relative to the primary fraction in the one or more side compounds. In an intermediate step () between the primary fractionation () and the secondary fractionation (), to which at least part of the primary fraction is subjected, the one or more side compounds are at least partly converted to one or more secondary compounds, and the one or more secondary compounds are at least partly separated in the secondary fractionation (). The intermediate step () is carried out in such a way that not more than 0.8% of the alpha-olefin predominantly contained in the primary fraction or the part thereof subjected to the intermediate step is reacted. The intermediate step is carried out using an alumina-based catalyst.

Process and plant for producing alpha olefins

A process () for the production of linear alpha-olefins is proposed, wherein ethylene is subjected to catalytic oligomerization () in a feed mixture to obtain a product mixture containing alpha-olefins with different chain length and side compounds. In a primary fractionation (), a primary fraction is formed using at least part of the product mixture, and in a secondary fractionation (), a secondary fraction is formed using at least part of the primary fraction. The primary fractionation () and the secondary fractionation () are carried out such that the primary fraction and the secondary fraction predominantly contain one of the alpha-olefins and are low in or free of other alpha-olefins, that the primary fraction contains one or more of the side compounds, and that the secondary fraction is depleted relative to the primary fraction in the one or more side compounds. In an intermediate step () between the primary fractionation () and the secondary fractionation (), to which at least part of the primary fraction is subjected, the one or more side compounds are at least partly converted to one or more secondary compounds, and the one or more secondary compounds are at least partly separated in the secondary fractionation (). The intermediate step () is carried out in such a way that not more than 0.8% of the alpha-olefin predominantly contained in the primary fraction or the part thereof subjected to the intermediate step is reacted. The intermediate step is carried out in the presence of 30 wt.-ppm to 200 wt.-ppm of water as reaction moderator and using a strongly acidic ion exchange resin.

A process for producing one or more olefins is proposed in which a reaction input containing one or more paraffins is formed and in which a portion of the paraffin(s) present in the reaction input is converted by oxidative dehydrogenation into the olefin(s) to obtain a process gas, wherein the process gas contains at least the olefin(s), the unconverted paraffin(s), oxygen and carbon monoxide and wherein at least a portion of the process gas is subjected to a low temperature separation in which at an operating pressure level one or more gas fractions enriched in oxygen and carbon monoxide compared to the process gas are formed. It is provided that in the low temperature separation in the formation and/or for the conduction of the or at least one of the gas fractions one or more containers and/or one or more conduits having a burst pressure of at least ten times the operating pressure level are used and that the container or at least one of the containers via the or at least one of the conduits is connected to one or more heat exchangers, wherein a total length of the or of the at least one conduit between the or the at least one container and the heat exchanger(s) is not more than fifty times the internal diameter of said conduit. A corresponding plant () likewise forms part of the subject matter of the invention.

Method and system for producing olefins

A process for producing ethylene and acetic acid is proposed in which an ethane- and oxygen-containing reaction input stream is formed and a portion of the ethane and of the oxygen in the reaction input stream is converted into the ethylene and the acetic acid by oxidative dehydrogenation to obtain a process gas, wherein the process gas contains the unconverted portion of the ethane and of the oxygen, the ethylene and the acetic acid and also water. It is provided that the process comprises adjusting in the process gas a water partial pressure according to a specified product ratio of the acetic acid to the ethylene to a value in a range between 0.7 and 5 bar (abs.). A corresponding plant () likewise forms part of the subject matter of the present invention.

Process and plant for producing ethylene and acetic acid

The invention relates to a process for producing an olefin in which a reaction input stream containing at least one paraffin, oxygen and water is formed and in which a portion of the paraffin and of the oxygen in the reaction input stream is converted into the olefin by oxidative dehydrogenation using a catalyst to obtain a process gas, wherein the process gas contains at least the unconverted portion of the paraffin and of the oxygen, the olefin and the water from the reaction input stream. Process and plant for producing an olefin

A process for preparing a catalyst provided in the form of a metal oxide catalyst having at least one element selected from Mo, Te, Nb, V, Cr, Dy, Ga, Sb, Ni, Co, Pt and Ce. The catalyst is subjected to an aftertreatment to increase the proportion of the M1 phase, by contacting the catalyst with steam at a pressure below 100 bar or by contacting the catalyst with oxygen to obtain an aftertreated catalyst. The aftertreated catalyst may be used for oxidative dehydrogenation processes.

The present invention relates to a method for preparing linear alpha-olefins (LAO) by oligomerization of ethylene in the presence of solvent and homogenous catalyst, comprising the steps of: (i) feeding ethylene, solvent and catalyst into an oligomerization reactor, (ii) oligomerizing the ethylene in the reactor, (iii) removing a reactor outlet stream comprising solvent, linear alpha-olefins, ethylene, and catalyst from the reactor via a reactor outlet piping system, (iv) transferring the reactor outlet stream to a catalyst deactivation and removal step, and (v) deactivating and removing the catalyst from the reactor outlet stream, characterized in that at least one organic amine is added into the oligomerization reactor and/or into the reactor outlet piping system.
