A heat pump includes an internal heat exchanger and a regulating device designed to bring the temperature of the working fluid at the outlet of a compressor to a specifiable minimum difference above the dew point at the same pressure. This allows the use of novel coolants in heat pumps, e.g., coolants having a low dew line slope of under 1000/kJ in the temperature-entropy diagram and characterized by very good safety and environmental properties.

Heat pump for using environmentally compatible coolants

Various examples include a device for increasing the heat yield of a heat source comprising: a heat sink; a heat pump with a condenser and an evaporator; and the heat source. The heat sink includes a heat sink feed and a heat sink return providing thermal coupling to the heat source with a heat exchanger. The heat source includes a heat source feed and a heat source return for thermal coupling to the heat sink with the heat exchanger. The condenser of the heat pump is thermally coupled to the heat sink feed to dissipate heat to the heat sink. The evaporator of the heat pump is thermally coupled to the heat source return downstream of the heat exchanger to absorb heat.

Device and method for increasing the thermal output of a heat source

A method for drying drying-stock includes separating solvent-containing drying stock within a drying unit into a base material and a solvent with the aid of a first heat transfer medium that flows through a first circuit, where after the solvent has been taken up by the first heat transfer medium, the solvent is extracted from the heat transfer medium via heat energy (condensation), where the heat energy is transferred by a heat exchanger with the aid of an evaporation unit to a second circuit and made available to a second heat transfer medium, and where the heat energy is fed in a condensation unit of the heat pump back to the first circuit with the aid of a heat pump.

Method and device for discharging a stratified thermal storage tank

A method is disclosed for producing a heat exchanger having at least one heat transfer surface, wherein the heat is used in a thermodynamic process that uses a fluid that is condensed, expanded, evaporated, and compressed in a cycle process. The area of the heat transfer surface may be dimensioned with respect to a minimum surface area measurement of the heat transfer surface, the minimum surface area measurement being required at least for transmitting a minimum heat quantity to the fluid used with the heat exchanger in order to prevent a condensation of the fluid before, during, and after the compression process. The area of the heat transfer surface may be dimensioned based on a correlation between the molar mass of the fluid and the minimum surface area measurement of the heat transfer surface.

Method for configuring the size of a heat transfer surface

A cogeneration power plant and a method for operating a cogeneration power plant are provided, with a working medium being additionally cooled by a suitable heat pump between an outlet of a thermal heating device and an inlet of a power generator of the cogeneration process. The thermal power obtained in this manner is again available for heating purposes within the heat cycle.
