A coil unit for inductively charging a vehicle is provided. The coil unit includes a coil, wherein the coil includes multiple windings of at least two electric lines. The electric lines are connected in parallel. Each of the electric lines has a respective winding part, in which the windings are formed, and an additional part, in which an additional inductor unit having a predefined electric inductance is arranged.

A method for checking a test secondary unit of an inductive test charging system for charging an electrical energy store, wherein the test charging system comprises the test secondary unit having a test secondary coil and a reference primary unit having a reference primary coil, includes recording a plurality of actual primary unit impedance values of the test charging system at the reference primary coil for a corresponding plurality of test combinations of values of operating parameters of the test charging system. The method also includes comparing the plurality of actual primary unit impedance values with a reference value range for a primary unit impedance.

Method for checking a primary or secondary unit of an inductive charging system

An inductive charging unit for a vehicle includes a trough-shaped base support having a base surface and the base surface has laterally enclosing side walls where the base surface and the side walls form a trough. The charging unit further includes a top surface opposite the base surface and a primary coil for inductive coupling to a secondary coil associated with the vehicle, where the primary coil is disposed in the trough. A filling material is disposed in the trough and surrounds the primary coil so as to fix the primary coil mechanically.

A primary unit for an inductive charging system includes a primary coil, which is configured to generate a magnetic field in response to a coil current through the primary coil; a first inverter, which is coupled to the primary coil via a first capacitor and which is configured to charge and/or discharge the first capacitor based on a first input voltage; and a second inverter, which is coupled to the primary coil via a second capacitor and which is configured to charge and/or discharge the second capacitor based on a second input voltage. The primary unit has a control unit, which is configured to identify capacitance information with respect to an effective capacitance of a primary resonant circuit of the primary unit, and to actuate the first inverter and the second inverter depending on the capacitance information in order to effect the coil current through the primary coil.
