The disclosure relates to receiving a provisioning request for providing a magnetic resonance tomography (MRT) image of a geometric image region of an object, wherein the provisioning request comprises a specification relating to at least one feature that is to be matched between an MRT reference image of the image region and the MRT image. A control unit is configured to actuate and control an MRT apparatus according to the specification in accordance with a predefined measurement technique to conduct a predefined MRT measurement at least on the geometric image region of the object, and to receive an MRT dataset generated in the measurement. The invention relates to a method for optimizing an MR imaging sequence with a plurality of sequence blocks where gradient requirements of logical gradients switched along axes including a read, slice, and phase axis are determined. Based on the requirements, a reference gradient is determined among the logical gradients having a longest minimum duration relative to remaining logical gradients within the sequence block during which the reference gradient is switched on. A scaling factor is determined for each of the logical gradients. The scaling factors for the logical gradient factors are updated taking into account the determined stretch ratios, and optimized amplitudes are determined for the logical gradients based on the updated scaling factors.

Techniques are disclosed for preparing a repeat intervention on the skin of a patient. This may include acquiring first image data of an intervention region during a first intervention on the skin of the patient. At least two landmarks may be identified on the skin of the patient on the basis of the acquired first image data. A position of the first intervention is then determined with the aid of the landmarks as reference points. In addition, the position of the first intervention and of the landmarks may be stored in a data memory unit. A position of the second intervention is subsequently localized on the basis of the stored position and of the at least two landmarks.
