The invention relates to a process for partial colouring, in particular colour laser engraving, of plastic parts, preferably of thermoplastic parts, very particularly preferably of thermoplastic parts comprising a layer construction, comprising the steps of: i) providing a plastic part (A) having at least one surface; ii) laying a colour tape atop at least one portion of the at least one surface of the plastic part (A) to obtain a surface of the plastic part (A) covered with the colour tape; iii) irradiating the plastic part (A) from ii) with focused, preferably nonionizing, electromagnetic radiation (C) on at least one portion of the surface of the plastic part (A) covered with the colour tape, wherein the partial colouring is effected essentially only at the sites on the plastic part (A) irradiated in step iii), wherein the wavelength range of the focused, preferably nonionizing, electromagnetic radiation (C) is in a range from 200 to 20 000 nm, preferably in a range from 300 to 18 000 nm, particularly preferably in a range from 350 to 16 000 nm.

Process for partial colouring of plastic parts using solid colourants in colour- carrier layers

The invention relates to a polymer composition that can be produced by (a) reacting an NCO-reactive polymer having exactly one NCO-reactive group per molecule, with a diisocyanate, the molar ratio of the diisocyanate molecule to the NCO-reactive groups of the NCO-reactive polymer being at least 2:1; and (b) reacting the residual NCO groups in the reaction product from step a) with an NCO-reactive silane. The invention also relates to a moisture-reactive composition containing said polymer composition, to methods for producing the polymer composition, and to moisture-reactive compositions containing said polymer composition. Finally, the invention relates to the use of the polymer composition as a drying agent for moisture-curing adhesives, sealants and coating agents.

Drying agent for moisture-curing compositions

The invention relates to a method for producing a polymer comprising the following steps: (A) depositing a radically cross-linkable resin, obtaining a radically cross-linked resin; and (B) treating the radically cross-linked resin under conditions which are sufficient to trigger a chemical reaction that is different from the radical cross-linking in the radically cross-linked resin. The radically cross-linkable resin comprises a curable component, in which there are NCO groups, olefinic C═C double bonds and epoxide groups, and the chemical reaction in the radically cross-linked resin that is different from the radical cross-linking is the reaction of NCO groups and epoxide groups to form oxazolidinone groups.

Method for producing a cross-linkable polymer with the formation of oxazolidinones

A method for producing polyurethanes containing alkoxysilane groups comprises the step of reacting a compound containing at least one NCO group with a compound containing at least one Zerewitinoff-active H atom in the presence of a catalyst component, wherein the compound containing at least one NCO group and/or the compound containing at least one Zerewitinoff-active H atom contain at least one alkoxysilane group, to obtain a polyurethane containing alkoxysilane groups. The invention also relates to a polymer containing alkoxysilane groups, a method for producing a curable polymer, a curable polymer, a cured polymer, and the use thereof. The polymers contain a complex of a lanthanide with at least one beta-diketonate ligand, preferably Yb(acac), and are free from organic tin compounds.

Moisture-curing compositions

The present invention relates to a process for preparing a mixed silane-terminated polymer by reacting a polyol component A) with a diisocyanate component B) comprising 1-isocyanato-3,3,5-trimethyl-5-isocyanatomethylcyclohexane (isophorone diisocyanate), at least one isocyanatosilane C) and an aminosilane E), in which the urethanization reaction is carried out in the presence of at least one catalyst D) which is free of organically bonded tin. The invention further relates to the use of the polymers thus obtained.

Method for preparing a mixed silane-terminated polymer

The present invention provides a reaction mixture comprising a blend of a first isocyanate-based uretdione-containing resin and a second isocyanate-based uretdione-containing resin, a neutralized polyol and a tertiary amine catalyst, and optionally, an additive package selected from the group consisting of flow control additives, pigments (colorants), wetting agents, and solvents, wherein the first isocyanate and the second isocyanate are different. The first isocyanate-based uretdione-containing resin and the second isocyanate-based uretdione-containing resin may be cold blended or hot blended. Coatings, adhesives, castings, composites, and sealants made from hot blended formulations exhibit superior performance over those made from cold blended formulations.

The present invention provides a reaction mixture comprising a hot blend of a first isocyanate-based uretdione resin and a second isocyanate-based uretdione resin, a neutralized polyol and a tertiary amine catalyst, and optionally, an additive package selected from the group consisting of flow control additives, pigments (colorants), wetting agents, and solvents, wherein the first isocyanate and the second isocyanate are different. The isocyanate-based uretdiones that have been hot blended together produce coatings, adhesives, castings, composites, and sealants, which exhibit better performance properties (such as microhardness) than those coatings, adhesives, castings, composites, and sealants produced from the constituent isocyanate-based uretdiones alone.

Compositions using polyuretdione resins

The present invention relates to a polyisocyanate composition comprising a formation component having isocyanate groups, the isocyanate groups having been reacted to an extent of &#x2265;98% with at least one CH-acidic compound, characterized in that the formation component consists to an extent of &#x2265;51% by weight of at least one polyisocyanate based on pentamethylene 1,5-diisocyanate having a content of isocyanurate trimer of &#x2264;60 area %, based on the total weight of the polyisocyanates based on pentamethylene 1,5-diisocyanate, and the remaining proportion up to 100% by weight of the total amount of polyisocyanates present in the formation component consists of at least one aliphatic or cycloaliphatic polyisocyanate. The present invention further provides a one-component system comprising the polyisocyanate composition, a process for producing a coating on a substrate, and the coatings obtainable from the one-component system.

Blocked polyisocyanate composition based on pentamethylene 1,5-diisocyanate

A process for manufacturing an object involves the steps of: I) depositing a radically cross-linked resin on a carrier so that a layer of a structuring material joined to the carrier is obtained, said layer corresponding to a first selected cross-section of the object; II) depositing a radically cross-linked resin on a previously applied layer of the structuring material so that an additional layer of the structuring material is obtained which corresponds to a further selected cross-section of the object and which is joined to the previously applied layer; III) repeating step II) until the object is formed, wherein the deposition of a radically cross-linked resin in steps I) and II) includes the application of a radically cross-linkable resin to the carrier or the previously applied layer and is performed at least in step II) by applying energy to a selected region of a radically cross-linkable resin, corresponding to the selected cross-section of the object, the radically cross-linkable resin having a viscosity (23&#xb0; C., DIN EN ISO 2884-1) of &#x2265;5 mPas to &#x2264;100,000 mPas. The invention further relates to the use of such a resin in an additive manufacturing process. The radically cross-linkable resin comprises a curable component which is obtained by reacting a polyisocyanate or a polyisocyanate descendant containing at least one oxadiazine trione group (formula I) with a compound that contains acrylate, methacrylate or vinyl ether double bonds and 25 Zerewitinoff active H atoms.

Process for manufacturing an object, and use of a radically cross-linkable resin in an additive manufacturing process

The present invention provides a system comprising an allophanate composition comprising a neutralized polyol, a polyuretdione resin, a tertiary amine catalyst, an additive package, and a reducer and a neutralized basecoat comprising an acid scavenger and a pigment. The resulting allophanate system may be used to make coatings, adhesives, castings, composites, and sealants in which clear-coating on neutralized pigmented basecoats is much improved in comparison to non-neutralized basecoats.
