An add-on housing is provided comprising a frame-shaped basic shape which encloses a receiving region for receiving a contact insert or a holding frame fitted with plug-in connector modules, wherein at least two fastening surfaces having fastening openings are integrally formed on the outside of the frame-shaped basic shape, wherein the add-on housing has snap-fastening means or devices which engage through the fastening openings in order to mechanically fasten the add-on housing to a through-hole in a device wall. A method for fastening an add-on housing to a through-hole in a device wall is also provided, wherein: the add-on housing has fastening openings which are in alignment with corresponding fastening openings in the device wall; snap-fastening means or devices having a box-shaped main body and having opposing and resiliently mounted base portions laterally protruding from said main body are inserted into the mutually aligned fastening openings in the add-on housing and the device wall; the base portions, upon insertion into the fastening openings, are first pressed into the box-shaped main body and then extend to engage the device wall.

Add-on housing of an electrical connector

A cable inlet device consists substantially of an open frame part and at least one sealing insert arranged therein. This cable inlet device is attached to a switchgear cabinet so that the sealing insert and the frame part of the cable inlet device terminate flush with the opening. When the switchgear cabinet is closed, for example by a switchgear cabinet door or switchgear cabinet wall or the like, this door or wall is sealingly pressed with a counterpart seal against the cable inlet device. For replacement of cables it is merely necessary for the switchgear cabinet door/switchgear cabinet wall to be opened and for the cable to be changed to be removed together with the corresponding sealing element, and for the new cable to be provided with a matching sealing element and to be inserted.

A plug connector housing has receptacles for fastening at least two contact carriers. The plug connector housing has a substantially rectangular cross-section, having two opposite narrow sides and two opposite long sides. The receptacles are integrally formed on the interior within the plug connector housing. In each of the corner regions, a first receptacle is arranged. On each of the long sides, at least one second receptacle is arranged.

A protective conductor connection connects a protective conductor to a busbar of a grounding element. The grounding element extends in a plug-in direction on a wall of an isolating body of the plug connector. The grounding element has a mounting region for mounting on the wall, a contact element for electrically contacting a counterpart plug connector, and a contact surface for electrical contacting a plug connector housing. A spring element and an actuating element are provided on the mounting region and configured such that the actuating element, during actuation thereof, interacts with the spring element such that, in a first position of the actuating element, a contact connection for the protective conductor to the current rail is opened by the spring element, and in a second position of the actuating element, a contact connection for the protective conductor to the current rail is closed by the spring element.

Disclosed is a connector assembly having a first connector part and a second connector part. The first connector part includes a lever mounted on a base body of the first connector part for pivotable movement about a pivot axis (C) between first and second positions relative to the base body. The connector assembly can be brought from a ready-to-mate state into a mated state by relative movement of the first and second connector parts towards each other along a connection axis and vice versa. At least one engaging portion of the lever interacts with at least one counter-engaging portion of the second connector part in such a way, that the connector assembly is forcibly brought from the mated to the ready-to-mate state by pivoting the lever from the first position into the second position when the connector assembly is in the mated state.

A plug connector housing has a socket housing and a screw attachment. The socket housing has an outer surface of circular cross section with an encircling first groove formed therein. The screw attachment has an inner surface of circular cross section with an encircling second groove formed therein. The plug connector housing furthermore has a circlip which is arranged with its inner circumference in the first groove and with its outer circumference in the second groove in order to hold the screw attachment rotatably on the socket housing.
