The present invention relates to a polyurethane composite system comprising a rigid polyurethane foam and a coating material composed of a compact polyurethane or a compact polyurea, wherein the rigid polyurethane foam comprises a porous three-dimensional reinforcing material which forms a network, where the network encloses at least 50% of the volume of the rigid polyurethane foam, or at least two layers of a porous, at least two-dimensional reinforcing material. The present invention further relates to a process for producing the polyurethane composite system and also a sports article, cladding part or furniture item comprising such a polyurethane composite system.

According to the invention, a sliding coating for winter sports equipment is provided, which has a copolymer (I) and optionally a copolymer (II), wherein the sliding coating for a winter sports equipment comprises a copolymer (I) having 10% or more of structural building blocks derived from propylene monomers, based on the total number of the structural building blocks of the copolymer (I), and 1% or more of structural building blocks derived from another olefin, based on the total number of the structural building blocks of the copolymer (I), wherein the sliding coating does not have a copolymer, which has 50% or more of structural building blocks derived from ethylene monomers, based on the total number of the structural building blocks of the copolymer.

According to the invention, a method for the plastic deformation of a polymer is provided, which is characterized in that the polymer is treated with electromagnetic radiation having a wavelength in the range from 0.8 to 100 &#x3bc;m with simultaneous action of pressure and shearing and thermal energy. By means of the method according to the invention, it is also possible to plastically deform polymers which have to date not been accessible to plastic deformation, such as chitin and in particular cellulose.

The invention relates to modified silicone polymers for improving the gliding properties of sports equipment, to compositions containing the same, and to their use for this purpose. The silicone polymers are, above all, alkyl-modified silicone polymers which comprise at least one hydrocarbon group having 16 to 18 carbon atoms, and/or organofunctionalized silicone polymers which comprise at least one functionalized hydrocarbon group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms.

According to the invention, a sliding coating for winter sports equipment which is a blend of a copolymer (I) and a copolymer (II) is provided, the copolymer (I) being a propylene copolymer which contains at least 50% of structural building blocks which originate from propylene monomers, and the copolymer (II) being an ethylene copolymer which has at least 50% of structural building blocks which originate from ethylene monomers.
