Signaling of demodulation reference signal configuration for uplink short TTI transmissions

Embodiments described herein relate to methods and apparatus in networks, and particularly methods, Location Management Functions, base stations and wireless devices for configuring and sending uplink sounding reference signals (UL SRS). An example method performed by a Location Management Function (LMF) comprises receiving radio resource information relating to radio resources that can be applied for UL SRS by a wireless device; and providing a notification relating to triggering aperiodic uplink SRS to a base station serving the wireless device.

Signalling support for NR positioning with aperiodic SRS configurations

In an example arrangement, a base station () serving a wireless device () controls the activation time for transmission by the wireless device () of aperiodic or semipersistent Sounding Reference Signals (SRS), but accounts for an activation-time recommendation made by a location server () with which the serving base station () provides its timing information. The arrangement allows the location server (), which has a view of the overall timeline, to recommend an activation time while still leaving the serving base station () in control of the activation time, which the serving base station () shares with the location server (). In turn, the location server () uses the activation time to configure neighboring base stations (), for example, for coordinated reception of the SRS, for positioning the device () via Uplink Observed Time Difference of Arrival (UTDOA) determinations. Activation of the SRS provides, for example, increased SRS density as compared to any ongoing periodic SRS transmissions performed by the wireless device ().

Methods and apparatus for controlling uplink reference signal transmissions in a wireless communication network

Systems and methods for relocating network nodes are provided herein. A network node can determine that relocation of at least one access node in the access network is required. An access node, such an IAB node with mobile capabilities, can be selected to be relocated from a first position to a second position. Relocation messages and parameters can be signaled between the network and the access node.

Dynamic relocation of nodes in a cellular network

Embodiments include methods performed by a user equipment (UE) of associating positioning signals with beams transmitted in a wireless network that includes a location server and a base station. Such methods include receiving assistance data from the location server. The assistance data includes a configuration of positioning signals to be transmitted by the wireless network and information identifying at least one relationship between the following: one or more positioning beams that carry the positioning signals, and one or more radio resource management (RRM) beams that carry RRM signals. A method, system and apparatus are disclosed. In one or more embodiments, a method in a wireless device is provided. The wireless device is configured to communicate with a network node. The wireless device receives an extended signal transmitted by the network node. The extended signal includes a base signal and at least one additional signal.
