In some examples, a first computing device installs a driver from a memory of a second computing device into the first computing device, the second computing device physically connected to the first computing device at a first interface. In response to user interaction with machine-readable instructions executed on the first computing device, the machine-readable instructions access an operating system session of an operating system executed on the second computing device while physically connected to the first computing device at the first interface. The driver receives data from the operating system session of the operating system executed on the second computing device, and routes the data to a peripheral device connected to the first computing device at a second interface.

Examples of a competing device for universal serial bus data routing are disclosed. In one example implementation according to aspects of the present disclosure, a computing device may include one or more processors, a memory, and a data store. The computing device may also include a first universal serial bus (USB) connection port to communicatively couple an attached computing device to the host computing device, and a second USB connection port to communicatively couple a peripheral device to the host computing device. The computing device may further include a USB data routing module stored in the memory and executing on at least one of the one or more processors to route data between the attached computing device and the peripheral device via the host computing device.

Examples of a computing device for attaching to a host computing device are disclosed. In one example implementation according to aspects of the present disclosure, a computing device may include one or more processors, a memory, and a connection port to attach the computing device to a host computing device. Additionally, the computing device may include a driver installation module to cause a device driver to be installed on the host computing device to enable the computing device to send data to and receive data from the host computing device. The computing device may also include an operating system session module to initiate an operating system session on the computing device and to cause the operating system session to be accessible to a user of the host computing device via a web browser interface on the host computing device.

Example embodiments relate to distribution of a profile from a server to a client. In example embodiments, a server enables an administrator or other user to embed a file into a profile, where the profile is a structured document including the file and a storage location for the file on the client. The server may then transmit the profile to the client, which, upon receipt of the profile, may extract the embedded file from the structured document to a storage location on the client specified in the profile.

A computing device to determine whether to update using a computer file by generating a file signature for that computer file based on its file header information and comparing the file signature to a collection of file signatures for updates already applied for matches.

Example embodiments relate to downloading a disk image from a server while reducing the corruption window. In example embodiments, a computing device writes a recovery image to a portion of a primary storage device. The computing device may then write the disk image to the primary storage device until a portion of the disk image corresponding to the recovery image remains. Next, the computing device may write the remaining portion of the disk image to a secondary storage location. Finally, the computing device may overwrite the recovery image using the remaining portion of the disk image from the secondary storage location.
