A sensor arrangement is for monitoring a circulation pump system () which includes at least one pump (). The sensor arrangement includes a first vibration sensor () installed at a first pump part () of one of the at least one pump () and a second vibration sensor () installed at a second pump part () of the pump () and an evaluation module (). The first pump part () and the second pump part () have a distance to each other. The evaluation module (), is configured to discriminate between at least two of k≥2 different types of faults based on comparing first signals received from the first vibration sensor () and second signals received from the second vibration sensor ().

Sensor arrangement and method for monitoring a circulation pump system

A centrifugal pump includes at least one pump stage (). This pump stage () includes an impeller () which is mounted rotationally fixed on a pump shaft (). Apart from the pump stage (), the centrifugal pump is equipped with a turbine wheel () which is arranged on the pump shaft (), without a movement coupling to the pump shaft, in the delivery flow of the centrifugal pump. This turbine wheel () forms a transducer of a flow measuring device. A blading of the turbine wheel () is such that a torque exerted by the delivery flow onto the turbine wheel (') is directed counter to a torque exerted via the pump shaft () onto the impeller ().

Centrifugal pump

A method for detecting faults or operational parameters in a pump assembly by use of a handheld communication device is described. The pump assembly includes an electric motor and a pump, wherein the pump assembly or electric motor has at least one rotating shaft The method comprises the steps of: a) contactless measuring a sound signal emanating from the pump assembly by use of a microphone connected to or implemented in the handheld communication device, b) processing the measured sound signal, and c) recognising one or more sound emanating condition including any possible faults by way of the processed sound signal.

Method and system for detection of faults in pump assembly via handheld communication device

A coupling has an input-side coupling part () and an output-side coupling part (), which are connected to each other in a torque-transmitting manner in such a way that the coupling parts can be moved to a limited extent. The output-side coupling part () has a rod-shaped body () rigidly connected to the output-side coupling part, which rod-shaped body extends in the direction of the axis of rotation () of the coupling and is surrounded by a hollow body () rigidly connected to the other coupling part (). Sensor elements () are provided, by which the radial distance between the rod-shaped body () and the hollow body () is detected during the rotation of the coupling.

The dry running detection system for a pump includes an ultrasonic transducer () designed for arrangement inside a pump housing () and electrically connected to a frequency generator () producing an electrical signal having a predefined frequency. An analyzing unit () of the system analyzes the electrical signal applied to the ultrasonic transducer () and is designed to detect whether the ultrasonic transducer () is in contact with a liquid or not on basis of the signal level of the electrical signal.

Dry running detection system

A method is provided for detecting faults in a pump assembly having an electric motor, or faults in an electric motor, having at least one rotating shaft. A vibration signal is detected, the detected vibration signal is processed in a manner such that the influence of the current rotational speed of the shaft is eliminated, periodic signals are filtered out of the processed vibration signal, and the vibrational operating condition, in particular possible faults, is recognized by way of the periodic signals. Further, a pump assembly having an electric motor or an electric motor is provided in which this method is applied.

Method for the detection of errors in pump units

A procedure for extracting features from phonocardiographic signals without the use of synchronizing information from electrocardiographic signals. The features extracted are the timing and value of first and second heart sounds and various combinations of timing and value of signal components constituting heart murmur. Such combinations are directly related to various heart conditions, which are more easily diagnosable by a medically trained person when assisted by the signal extraction. The features are extracted by a novel combination of energy/time relationships for the heart signal and various novel classification schemes.

Procedure for extracting information from a heart sound signal

A heart signal comprising both first and second heart sounds and murmurs occurring due to various heart conditions is modeled by a sum of sinusoids automatically selected to represent the heart sound without a noise component. In an analysis step the signal parameters are measured, in an interpolation and transformation part &#x3a9;(t) and A(t) are interpolated from one window position to the next window position, and a synthesis part reconstructs the transformed heart signal. The transformations are transformations in either time scale (with unchanged frequency content) or frequency scale (with unchanged time progression), or both. Furthermore a dynamic transformation of an arbitrary heart signal to a fixed number of beats per minute is made possible.
