An auto injector is disclosed comprising: a housing, a cartridge receiver, and an ejector member. The cartridge receiver is configured to receive a cartridge containing the medicament. The auto injector further comprises a blocking member coupled to an ejector member. The blocking member is configured to move between a blocking position wherein a connector opening is blocked and a non-blocking position wherein the connector opening is not blocked.

Auto injector with charger safety

Disclosed is an auto injector for administering a medicament. The auto injector comprising: a housing; a cartridge receiver configured to receive a cartridge assembly comprising a cartridge and a cartridge code feature, the cartridge containing the medicament; a code sensor configured to read the cartridge code feature; a drive module coupled to move a plunger rod; and a processing unit coupled to the code sensor and the drive module. The processing unit being configured to: receive from the code sensor a code signal indicative of the cartridge code feature; control the drive module to move the plunger rod to a first plunger rod position, the first plunger rod position being based on the code signal; receive a trigger event; control the drive module to move the plunger rod to a second plunger rod position following reception of the trigger event.

Auto injector with adaptable air-shot mechanism

Disclosed is an auto injector for administering a medicament. The auto injector comprising: a housing; a cartridge receiver configured to receive a cartridge assembly comprising a cartridge () and a cartridge code () feature, the cartridge containing the medicament; a code sensor configured to read the cartridge code feature; a drive module coupled to move a plunger rod; and a processing unit coupled to the code sensor and the drive module. The processing unit being configured to: receive from the code sensor a code signal indicative of the cartridge code feature; control the drive module to move the plunger rod to a first plunger rod position, the first plunger rod position being based on the code signal; receive a trigger event; control the drive module to move the plunger rod to a second plunger rod position following reception of the trigger event.

An auto injector () for administering injection of a medicament from a cartridge () containing the medicament, the auto injector comprising: a cartridge receiver () with a cartridge receiver compartment () configured to receive a cartridge assembly () with at least one cartridge retention member () when inserted through a cartridge receiver opening () along a longitudinal axis; and an ejector () configured to support the cartridge assembly () by being suspended to move along the longitudinal direction and being spring-loaded in the direction opposite of the receiving direction. Auto injector with cartridge retention system

A reloadable auto injector has a needle insertion driver to be re-activated upon reloading. A syringe is movably positioned in a housing between a first position and a second position. A plunger rod is locked to a plunger rod tube by a deflectable locking member. A syringe driver applies a force to the syringe to move the syringe together with plunger rod tube, plunger rod and plunger rod driver from the first position to the second position. In the second position, the locking member is unlocked and releases the plunger rod to thereby activate the plunger rod driver to advance the plunger rod in the syringe for delivering of medicament. A reload handle is connected to the syringe assembly so that user operation of the reload handle retracts the syringe to the first position and simultaneously reloads the syringe driver for delivering a further dose of medicament.

Auto-injector for epinephrine injection

An auto injector having sequential control of needle insertion and dose injection is disclosed. A syringe with a needle is movably positioned in a housing between a first position in which the needle is accommodated inside the housing and a second position in which the needle protrudes outside the housing. A plunger rod tube has at least one locking member configured to normally lock a plunger rod to the plunger rod tube. A syringe driver applies a force to the syringe to move the syringe together with plunger rod tube, plunger rod and plunger rod driver from the first position to the second position. In the second position, the locking member is unlocked and releases the plunger rod to thereby activate the plunger rod driver to advance the plunger rod in the syringe for delivering of at least one dose of medicament.

Auto injector with separate needle injection

A reloadable auto injector wherein a syringe assembly is movably positioned between a first position in which the needle is accommodated inside a housing and a second position in which the needle protrudes outside the housing. The assembly comprises a syringe, a plunger rod and a plunger rod driver configured to apply a force to the plunger rod to advance the plunger rod in the syringe for delivering at least one dose of medicament. A syringe driver is configured to apply a force to the assembly thereby moving the assembly from the first position to the second position. A reload handle may be connected to the assembly so that user operation of the reload handle retracts the assembly to the first position and simultaneously reload the syringe driver to thereby ready the auto injector for delivering a further dose of medicament. The plunger rod driver is not re-activated.

Re-loadable auto injector

A reloadable auto injector for epinephrine injection is provided. The reloadable auto injector has a separate needle insertion and medicine injection drivers () wherein needle insertion driver () is configured to be re-activated upon reloading. A syringe is movably positioned in a housing between a first position in which the needle is accommodated inside the housing and a second position in which the needle protrudes outside the housing. A plunger rod () is normally locked to a plunger rod tube () by at least one deflectable locking member (). A syringe driver () applies a force to the syringe to move the syringe together with plunger rod tube, plunger rod and plunger rod driver from the first position to the second position. In the second position, the locking member () is unlocked and releases the plunger rod to thereby activate the plunger rod driver to advance the plunger rod in the syringe for delivering of medicament. A reload handle () is connected to the syringe assembly so that user operation of the reload handle retracts the syringe to the first position and simultaneously reload the syringe driver to thereby ready the auto injector for delivering a further dose of medicament.
