Wheel low fabric feeding for sewing machines where oscillations of the feeding shaft are transmitted to two gear couples mounted on free release wheels fixed to a support pivoted free to rotate. By acting on a stitch length regulator device one of these couples engages the feeding wheel for reversing the rotation direction of the wheel and thus the work feeding direction.

A machine which draws one by one a certain number of fabric layers, overlaps them and sews them in a completely automatic way, and which is composed of a stripping unit which draws the single fabric layers and disposes of them on a plane, a television camera and an electronic elaborator which determines the position of the fabric layers on the plane, a driving unit which, according to the determined position, draws and overlaps the fabric layers by means of an assembling device, and a sewing unit which receives the overlapped fabric layers from the assembling device and sews them together.

An assembling device for fabric layers of simple construction providing two plates connected to each other, one of which carries a plurality of needles and the other of which has a series of corresponding holes. The two plates may be brought near to each other, so that the needles jut out from the holes for transfixing the fabric layers, and may be removed so that the plate with the holes slips off the fabric layers from the needles. A locking mechanism is provided with locks, in an unlockable way, the two plates in their approached position.

Automatic device for detaching the cam followers in a sewing machine where a selector knob, when it is rotated, provides the detachment of the cam followers in the first portion of rotation, and positions the desired cam in correspondence of the cam follower in the second portion of rotation. On the reduction collar of the selector knob two opposite grooves are made out, which engage pins transmitting the translation movement to a shaft which operates a cam follower detaching lever.

Fabric piece stacker applied to a sewing machine which permits loading and sewing a piece while the stacker is in its operative phase, comprising a vertical element at an end of which a first rod is pivoted, connected in turn, through a pin, to a second rod; two parallel bars are fixed at the free ends of the rods and pneumatic cylinders are provided for enabling the vertical element and the two rods to oscillate in sequence in order to stack the sewn piece.

An upper thread cutting unit in buttonhole sewing machines wherein a lever is provided for connecting and disconnecting the support of the thread cutting unit to and from a supporting member, connected via a lever and rod system, to the stop device of the sewing machine. Two appropriately set springs force the thread cutting unit, at the end of the sewing cycle, under the needle to catch and cut the upper thread and force the unit away from the needle to permit raising higher the work presser frame.
