A respiratory mask assembly includes a frame having a channel and a cushioning element including a clip portion adapted for interference seal and retention in the channel. The cushioning element includes an interfacing portion constructed from foam and having a wider width than the clip portion.

Interface including a foam cushioning element

A patient interface system for delivery of a supply of air at positive pressure to the entrance of a patient's airways for treatment of sleep disordered breathing includes an air delivery tube connected to a flexible portion of a plenum; a vent structure having sufficient rigidity to support its own weight under gravity and/or not to block or fold under tube movement or tube drag; and a patient interface structure. The patient interface structure includes a seal forming structure arranged on a top portion of the plenum; and a seal positioning and stabilizing structure connected to a flexible portion of the plenum. The seal-forming structure is substantially decoupled from a tube drag force.

Patient interface systems

An interfacing structure is arranged to cooperate with a frame to contact with the skin of a patient. The interfacing structure includes a clip portion joined to a cushioning component. The frame is more rigid than the clip portion and the clip portion is more rigid than the cushioning component.

Foam-based interfacing structure

A respiratory mask for continuous positive airway pressure treatment includes a cushion adapted to be positioned against the face of a patient. The cushion is configured in a gasket arrangement around an entrance to the airways of the patient. The cushion is constructed from a polyurethane foam and has a thickness of greater than about 5 mm.

Delivery of respiratory therapy

A patient interface for delivering breathable gas to a patient includes a foam interfacing portion adapted to provide a nasal interface to contact under and around the patient's nose in use and including an orifice adapted to surround both the patient's nares in use, and a positioning and stabilizing structure to support the foam interfacing portion in an operative position on the patient's face. The positioning and stabilizing structure is structured to provide a range of rotational, axial, and/or lateral movement to the foam interfacing portion while maintaining a sufficient interface and resisting the application of tube drag and/or headgear tension to the foam interfacing portion.

A respiratory mask assembly includes a frame having a channel and a cushioning element including a clip portion adapted for interference seal and removable retention in the channel. The cushioning element includes an interfacing portion constructed from foam and adapted to contact the patient's face in use. The interfacing portion may have a wider width than the clip portion.

A filled hollow structure includes an open hollow structure from a first material. The open hollow structure is at least partially closed by a closing structure. The hollow structure is filled with a filler medium. The filled hollow structure is overmoulded with a second material.

Delivery of respiratory therapy with nasal interface

Methods and tools for producing a filled hollow structure, comprising producing an open hollow structure from a first material, providing a closing structure to at least partially close the open hollow structure, filling the hollow structure with a filler medium, and overmoulding the filled hollow structure with a second material as well as hollow structures obtainable by said methods and the use of said tools.

A mask system for use between a patient and a structure to deliver a breathable gas to the patient includes a mask assembly including a frame, a cushion provided to the frame, and optionally an elbow provided to the frame. Headgear is removably attached to the mask assembly to maintain the mask assembly in a desired position on a patient's face. The headgear includes a top strap, crown straps which cooperate to form a round shape adapted to accommodate a crown of the patient's head, and bottom straps.
