A variety of methods, systems, and apparatus are disclosed, including, in one embodiment, a valve system comprising: a valve; and a valve actuation assembly comprising: a linear motion actuator configured to move linearly; a cable coupled to the linear motion actuator; and a shaft coupled to the cable, wherein the cable extends from the linear motion actuator to the shaft, wherein the shaft is configured to rotate and actuate the valve in response to linear movement of the linear motion actuator.

Provided is a downhole device, a well system, and a method. The downhole device, in one aspect, includes a tubular housing, the tubular housing having a length (L) and a sidewall thickness (t) defining an inside diameter (ID) an outside diameter (OD). The downhole device, according to this aspect, further includes a control line bypass channel located in the outside diameter (OD) of the sidewall thickness (t) and extending along an entirety of the length (L). The downhole device according to this aspect further includes a radial retention mechanism extending across the control line bypass channel, the radial retention mechanism configured to radially fix a control line within the control line bypass channel, and an axial retention mechanism positioned in the control line bypass channel, the axial retention mechanism configured to frictionally and axially fix the control line within the control line bypass channel.

A downhole shunt tube isolation system having a fluid channel and a piston hydraulic chamber disposed within a valve actuator housing, wherein the fluid channel is sealed via a plug to hydraulically lock a valve in an open position, wherein a gravel slurry is configured to flow from a first tube segment through the valve to a second tube segment when the valve is in the open position. A portion of the plug is displaced to open a fluid path through the plug to the piston hydraulic chamber, wherein opening the fluid path to the piston hydraulic chamber hydraulically unlocks the valve, closing the valve via a biasing force to block the flow of the gravel slurry from a first tube segment through the valve to a second tube segment.

A controllable downhole scraper includes a fluid reservoir having a pressure wall positioned and movable within the fluid reservoir defining a first portion of the fluid reservoir including a first fluid. The pressure wall exerts a force on the first fluid to maintain a first pressure. A scraper blade is movable between a retracted and an extended position. A sleeve is positioned on a tubular and slidable between a first position engaging the scraper blade to move into the retracted position, and a second position engaging the scraper blade to move into the extended position. The sleeve is configured to move between the two positions through a reduction in the first pressure in the first fluid. A restrictor is fluidly coupled between the fluid reservoir and a pressure reservoir. A gas reservoir, fluidly coupled to the first fluid, is selectively operable to reduce the first pressure in the first fluid.
