A cleansing article composed of a solid or semi-solid foamable composition and a batting layer with bonded fibers is described that provides the user with a pleasant personal cleansing experience and which in one embodiment combines cleansing, aesthetic and/or skin benefit with active agents and exfoliation. The user also experiences substantial lather during use of the cleansing article. The batting layer is at least partially encompassed by the solid or semi-solid foamable composition.

Bar soap with fibrous assembly

An article that is especially suitable for cleansing skin is described which includes a foamable composition having the form of an elastic semi-solid gel and a fibrous layer made up of a continuous network of bonded fibers. The weight ratio of the foamable composition to the fibrous layer is in the range from about 30 to 1 to about 2000 to 1 and the foamable composition at least partially encompasses the fibrous layer.

Fibrous elastic gel cleansing article

A non-woven hydroentangled textile is described formed in cross-section with a central area of low mass fiber density surrounded on both sides by areas of higher mass density. Further, a personal cleansing article is described wherein the hydroentangled textile is associated with a personal cleansing composition that includes a lathering surfactant. The composition is deposited onto, impregnated into or at least is partially enclosed by the textile. Also described is a process for producing the textile involving feeding into a hydroentangling unit a loose random assembly of fibers both above and below a fibrous screen modifying textile substrate.

Hydroentangled textile and use in a personal cleansing implement

A cleansing article is provided which includes a fibrous web of continuous network bonded fibers and a solid or semi-solid foamable composition joinably penetrating the web. The web has a first and second major surface each being on opposite faces of the web. The composition and web are present in a relative weight ratio ranging from about 30:1 to about 2000:1. At least a major portion of the first major surface of the web preferably being exposed above the foamable composition, and a majority of surfaces defining an exterior of the article are formed of the foamable composition.

A cleansing article and process for manufacture is provided, the article being a solid or semi-solid foamable composition joinably penetrating a fibrous web, the combination being molded and held for sale to consumers in a single use disposable sealed plastic receptacle. The receptacle includes indicia printed onto or associated with the plastic receptacle.

A personal care cleansing article is provided which includes a cleansing composition having a lathering surfactant and a water absorbing material capable of accepting at least ten times the weight of the material of water, the composition being held within a water-insoluble sachet.

Extended lathering pillow article for personal care

A disposable personal care cleansing article is provided having a cleansing composition adjacent to a water insoluble substrate formed of a fibrous web. A plurality of slits having a length ranging from about 6 to 40 mm are cut into the web. The slits allow the article to expand when a consumer applies the article to cleanse the body under a flow of water.

Cleansing article for personal care

A disposable substantially dry foamable product is described including a water-insoluble substrate such as a flexible web, the substrate having first and second major surfaces, with a plurality of moguls spaced apart on the first major surface and a foamable composition deposited in major amounts on the second surface and a minor amount on the first surface. A method for producing the product is also described which employs the moguls in juxtaposition to a guide roller to establish space between a surface of the roller and the first surface of the substrate. Foamed composition is deposited onto the second surface which by seepage through apertures in the substrate allow a minor portion of the coating composition to deposit on the first surface of the substrate.
